I thought he would get going again when he replaced Cozens on PP1 but he hasn’t been getting many chances there.

Levi and NU lost 3-2 to UMass yesterday. They rebounded with a 4-0 win tonight. 32 saves for Levi’s shutout.

Ducks beat Canes 3-2 while being outshot 52-15.

Mitts has improved along the wall but VO is a liability to my eyes. He gets the puck near the blue line and struggles to get it out or to an open man. He doesn’t want to muck it up to move the rubber a few feet across a strip of blue paint that causes the opponent to vacate your zone. He is not a big guy but there are ways to sneak it out or position your body to shield the puck to give yourself a chance. I can overlook this when he is scoring but that has dried up. Hopefully he can warm up again. Maybe KA was hoping an empty netter would light a match.

I will have a good look at Nick Jensen in tomorrow’s game. He seems like a good depth Dman that would not break the bank or require many assets to acquire. This seems like the kind of move KA might make. I would have taken Niedereitter for a 2nd round pick.

I don’t want to think long term until we know more. I would like to see Quinn try that spot in Tuch’s absence. He is starting to score again and would get even more chances on that unit. I think Vinnie comes back to fill in. Vinnie, Asplund and JJP should rotate in and out until something clicks.

You just never know. The Caps traded Orlov and Hathaway, they are now sellers. There is still pride in that room, they beat Shesterkin and the Rangers 6-3. The Sabres cannot take them lightly. Just win to get in.

82 games vs 80 adds a potential 4 points to the mix. The Bruins are racking up the points, I can’t deny that. That Habs team was in the middle of a 4 Cup run with a bunch of HOFers. This Bruins team is good but not a dynasty, they are at the tail end of a solid run.

I haven’t read the piece. Usually the Power Rankings are currently reflecting the team’s strength, hence the Bruins at #1. The commentary is about the talent 25 and under. In that story I would imagine Anaheim would be 30th or so even though they have Zegras, Drysdale, McTavish and more.
