Not so fast. The 1st we got from them is top-10 protected. We need them to be just outside the top 10. But, no more.

There’s absolutely no way the Sabres finish last next year. We should see continued improvement from players on the roster now, plus all JAGs replaced by very talented (yet unproven) players.

Definitely wrong thread. This thread is for explaining how different countries spell or pronounce their name.

We’re used to come from behind wins. Just not from the Sabres.

Who here still thinks we’re tanking?
-
Let’s not forget the role Anderson has played. We haven’t seen an over 0.95 save % all season.

Jack will help them out with this. 😂

Hopefully we don’t take a lead. We’ll never be able to hold it. -
I remember when Vejmelka played lights-out against us in the 2nd game this year.

I would move Okie if the deal is a very favorable one. It’s not that I don’t value his contribution, it’s more because he deserves to contend and possibly win a cup. The deal would have to be very good though.

UPL playing next year in Rochester simply isn’t going to happen. We will have at least Portillo or Levi (or both) signing at the end of the NCAA season. One or both will be playing in Rochester.

Are the Olympics still going on? Asking for a friend.

Would love Peters to suit up one night to beat some Millennial ass. And Granato to body slam the opposing coach.

Or helmet killer.

And don’t forget Johnson, who we’ll have a good handle on in 3-4 years. Just shows you how long defensemen need to develop and if we want someone for the right side soon, we better trade for one or draft with our first pick in next draft. I’ll take Jiricek (or Nemec) and a trade or FA for another shutdown righty defensemen.

This is a difficult thing to do and sort of akin to counting your chickens before they hatch. If we have a decent player and he is willing to sign for a fair value contract, I don’t think you shy away from it because some players might demand a higher contract in the future. However, I think term is more important than actual salary for Oloffson. I wouldn’t sign him for anything more than 3-4 years, even if we have to mildly overpay for him.

Looks like Tage vs the Avs today. -
Before this injury, Olofsson had been a fairly decent player who was showing improvement every year. There’s no reason to jettison a decent player just because he’s only a middle-6 player. He’s great depth. As for cost, I wouldn’t overpay, but give him a fair contract. The Sabres are barely above the floor anyhow.

A subtle shoulder, right in front of him, vs a guy skating away, defenses down, and having a stick used to buckle his legs and have him go face first into the boards. Nope, not dirty. Not only was it dirty, it was cowardly.

I think that was a much dirtier play than what Dell pulled a bunch of games back. Dell got in his way tapped him and the dude slipped. This hit though, looks like the intent was to injure.
