I’m glad PSE is taking over. My wife is at RBTL and met with city officials the other day to discuss taking over party in the park and the arena. She’s cool running it for two weeks but taking over permanently was freaking her out. She’s already stretched thin. No way she could do two venues. Next step, sell the building to Uncle Terry. I feel bad for the two dudes I know that were there with SMG. Good guys that are now suddenly unemployed.

I had read about this awhile ago but I thought it had been resolved. What the hell was the big rift over anyways?

I actually dropped out of the chemical engineering program at Clarkson to join my union. Being able to retire at 55 with $4G/month for life in addition to my healthy annuity, paid health care and my middle aged youth to start another career. It’s not a fall back for dum dums. If there were more unions and more friendly legislation, it would be the same safe life choice that really made America great. I teach Labor history. It’s rich. It really was the one thing that made the life we know possible.

I’m a 22 year Union member and I’m choosing your post to quote because it’s simple and true. I’ve served all sorts of offices. I’m currently the senior apprentice instructor, Recording Secretary and District Counci rep. You’re right. Unions aren’t perfect.

The BMI chart in my doctors office has me overweight/borderline obese. I wear 30” waist. I also know people around my height with 36” very fit waist. Can’t someone just be muscled? The worst thing about it is some people read these things and judge themselves by it, but the people who really need to pay attention to it don’t care anyway. As for Dahlin, he’ll be fine.

This is the most reasonable take I’ve seen on this board about Nelson. He struggled in Rochester at times last season. Sitting in the press box most nights would be best for both teams IMO.

A bus load of bottles and cans apparently.

I have these reoccurring dreams where I’m trying to get somewhere and there’s all sorts of bizarre obstacles that confound me. Last night it was Sabres themed. I went to bed early and had no knowledge of the ROR trade so that wasn’t the cause. This time, in my dream, I’ve bartered my way onto a bus with the Sabres players. I get on the bus and head for the back. The bus is full of bags of cans and bottles. They’re everywhere so finding a seat is difficult. That’s the theme in these dreams. Difficulty everywhere I go. I go all the way to the back of the bus but these cans are everywhere so I head back toward the front where I saw a few seats where the bags were on the floor. Sam Reinhart sits in the seat in front of me. As I sat in mine I said “What’s up, Max?” He got super pissed and growled back “Max?!” I said “Sorry, dude, I thought you were someone else. Then I woke up.

That’s the poster that called me a “pud” over my opinions regarding routes to becoming a successful middle class American. The problem with politics in general is the poo that is being flung all over the place. Some people just can’t handle their emotions enough to have a decent conversation. For the record, I wasn’t offended and it didn’t stop me from participating. I simply wrote the poster off as a fool.

He was even worse than Grigs. I’ve seen enough. I’ll hope he improves but expect the same. I like what you said about the weeds on the perimeter. That’s where he’s established his reputation. Pretty damn good take. As others have pointed out up thread, what’s the big difference between a 3rd and a 4th? Especially when you’ve acquired a a reasonably good player. I don’t know the details, but couldn’t you just waive Hunwick? If he’s a throw in, who cares?

TBH, I have a hard time comparing four guys’ numbers from a last placed half-assing it team to one guy from a playoff team. It’s like apples to oranges for me. You’re young. Everything makes it move. Give it another 20-25 yrs. It’ll still move, but.....you may be too tired to want it too....you’ll see.

6’6 and 172 lbs. I’m going to throw out some numbers for comparison. I’m 5’8 and 175 lbs. I’m not fat either. I wear a 30” waist. They don’t make adult jeans any narrower. 10” taller and 3 lbs lighter? I realize he’s a kid but damn, is he made of pumice? Don’t know why I had to edit my math tonight. That’s the simple I do all day. For some reason beer math is working out perfectly.

No way. It gets it stigma from being a pagan holiday. The pagans didn’t invent the revolution of the earth around the sun so there’s no shame in being excited about the cosmic event. I swear the plants in the garden were even standing taller...

Happy Solstice y’all. My favorite summer holiday. I had a big bonfire to show the gods how much I care. I took a barefooted walk through the meadow, collecting seeds between my toes as I went along. I’m very pleased with this years variety pack. Baby’s Breath growing wild in the meadow? That’s a sign. Oh baby. That’s a good sign! The setting sun finally gave me her money shot. The moon took over where she left off. Oh baby. What a night!
