Amerks close out a three in three weekend in Hartford vs the Wolfpack this afternoon. Down 3-1 at the start of the third but win it in regulation 4-3. Asplund, Pilut, O’Reagen and Redmond. Last night they were in Providence. Came back to tie in the third only to lose in OT. Bailey with the only 2 Amerks goals. They were in Springfield Friday night. It was tied 1-1 at the end of one but when I checked back in halfway into the second they were down 7-1! Holy chit! Ended up losing 9-4. I guess 3 out of 6 points in an away trip playing three in three isn’t too bad. Still in first in the division by 5 points.

Meh. Probably 16” here in Bristol Mtn country. I’m on a little vacation so it was all good. Snow too deep for the 4wheeler. Broke the winch cable for the plow so I switched over to the Kubota. Tractor and bucket isn’t the premier way to get the job done but got the wife out of the driveway by 9 am. Still had some repairs and a whole lot of real estate to clear so I cracked a beer. 9:30am. Several beers later the work was finished. Hot tub got filled with the purest water I have access to(snow). Don’t worry. It heats back up fast enough. Opened a bottle of Chianti around 5 and crawled in the tub. Just crawled out. Renewed. Steaming some crab for dinner. If the boys on the ice could just channel my mojo right now....on second thought....that may not be the best idea.

Fedun knows what’s going on in Rochester right now is special. I can understand him not wanting to leave.

I’m going to Dollar General to get a card for everyone to sign. Our condolences for all that free money he was handed. Maybe he’d be a Daltonarian and reciprocate with a card for all the poor bastards in my trade that lose a job and eat bologna as a result?

I’ve been doing this sort of thing for twenty years. I call it “idiot prevention”. I’ve smoked a lot of grass along the way and learned a trick or two.

He passed away a long time ago. ‘89 I think. He was a logger. He was a well muscled energetic 72 year old. He was in the woods everyday until he found out about the lung cancer from all the unfiltered cigs and pipe smoking and refused nutrition of any kind afterwards. He passed three weeks later. If he hadn’t known the diagnosis he may have cut logs for another ten years. Great guy. I miss him. Kester Rupert Wood

This has got me remembering my grandpas everyday breakfast. Bacon, sunny side eggs cooked crispy on the bottom in the bacon fat on well buttered black toast. Baked beans with vinegar. Twice perked coffee. I need to have this next weekend.

This kid is the most amazing hockey skater I’ve ever seen. The hockey gods are good to us.

Nylander had a good game. He dished up a couple big hits and set up the second goal, crashing into Pasquale in the process. He was then savagely attacked by Andreoff. Right on top of him throwing lefts and rights. The bum got a 12 min misconduct. I like how the whole team responded. These guys look like a well prepared and close unit. Having a good time and communicating a lot on the bench and on the ice. It’s refreshing.

Bailey’s hands are starting to catch up with his feet. Scored the only goal so far tonight driving hard to the net. Nice little move on Pasquale. Gave the fans a little salute in celebration.

I always liked Dlo but you’re right, he couldn’t have hit the broad side of a barn with Sabres.

Amerks separate from the pack by two points. Very nice. I’m so friggin ready for Friday.

I wish I wouldn’t have my head so far up my ass that I hadn’t forgotten that I have a voucher to this game. I don’t do Wednesday games but I could have passed it along. What a far king dummy.
