Have the Bills ever played on Thanksgiving though?

So you are certain Vegas will struggle financially as a franchise? You’ve seen the future and know they won’t win this cup? They play in arguably the worst division in hockey and have quality goaltending and depth. So long as Fleury is there they will likely continue to make the playoffs.

Of the 20 who voted yes, how many would do so if no replacement owner was lined up? If it meant the NHL immediately took control and then sold to the highest bidder, regardless of intent to keep the team in Buffalo, would anyone actually vote yes? How many of the 20 just don’t like Terry? Most online polls have contrarians voting against the majority for fun. I don’t think this says much outside of there are Sabres fans who don’t think fully about consequences.

Who cares? People said hockey couldn’t work in Vegas so GMGM and the front office made a team that people couldn’t take their eyes off of. They established their market and look like a viable franchise for the long term. That was likely ownerships main concern and is now gone. They’ve made it to the Cup once and look very strong this playoffs. If they win a cup it’s the best of both worlds but success in the short term was needed for there to be a long term. Losing a franchise is a greater problem than not having a prospect pool because you’re too busy winning conferences, and potentially, cups.

I know, the thanks was sarcastic. Hard to convey through text. Considering the poster that’s what I thought it was, but I wasn’t sure if I missed something.

I’m finding it interesting how many places are reporting the Ovi-Svech fight with Svech’s age. You don’t see that when the Tkachuks go at it. Are they trying to make Ovi look like a bad guy? A (comparatively) scrawny 19 year old challenged him to a fight in a hockey game—there’s nothing wrong with knocking him out because of it. Svech knows better now.

This is a bad take. KC won a WS and went back to back. Cleveland has been to multiple WS during that time and a great sellout steak. Milwaukee and Tampa Bay might be the best teams in baseball. Pittsburgh had a sustained run five years ago. There’s an ebb and flow to small market baseball organizations.

I think you’re missing the point. Vancouver went “all out” to promote an event, even one that had relatively few people of the demographic seemingly interested (judging by the lobby). I don’t think it has anything to do with the event other than it was an event the poster knew of. I’ve been wrong before though.
