  1. It really depends on the night with them imo. You'll see some mic swinging one way or the other, but they (read: Adam) don’t always sound that good. Im sure there’s some other TBS fans on here. Someone used to have a The Story So Far icon, I’d bet they’re one, too.
  2. No hockey professional should be using familiar names on any broadcast. Be a professional and say his name. These guys deserve it.
  3. Being a season ticket holder is a lifelong dream. I left the area at 18, having gone to ~100 games with my dad as a kid. I always swore if I moved back to the area, getting tickets would be the first thing I did. I even joined the waiting list not knowing if I’d ever return. Well, 14 years later I’m back home. I saw this and instinctively clicked the link for info. I just can’t do it. I won’t give them a cent until they’ve given me something in return other than agita.
  4. I would love to be that frustrated again.
  5. Yeah all the Bills actually need to do is get in. Until someone actually dethrones us in the division, I’m not worried about it.
  6. Tanner Jeannot would do wonders for this team.
  7. Sounds like it was a solid game. I’ll be going on Sunday. Probably my first Amerks game since 2007 or so.
  8. I’d be more interested to hear what Geoff Peters has to say about the Amerks playoffs than what Andrew Peters has to say about Lindy Ruff.
  9. I often wonder how many professional athletes truly love their sport and for how many is it a life opportunity. There is undoubtedly more simply earning a paycheck than imagined.
  10. I think he’s going to be a monster when we have a real power play system. Hopefully this is just the start.
  11. I’d rather package our first with one or more of our young players and prospects to get someone better than anyone on that list. Whoever gets the best player in the present almost always wins the trade. I don’t give any about how much it could potentially hurt our team in five years from now. We are losers now, it’s not like we can be downgraded to super losers. We’d have hit that status years ago.
  12. How’s the view from sugar heaven, bitch?
  13. What a boring a disappointing way to wake up. The draft was better on Saturday and Sunday. F this midnight bs.
  14. It will take us trading our first or winning the lottery for me to get excited for this season.
  15. When we were in Nashville we lived a five minute walk to the farmers market and it really turned me on to buying direct. Not only to support local, but the conversations and connections were always a nice way to start the day. We’re walking distance to the Bidwell Market opening in a few weeks. I believe Porter Farms is there. I’ll have to check out the offerings. Thanks!
  16. He seems like a really good example of the Peter Principle. I had no issue with his hire, he’s just missing something that keeps him from success as the big boss.
  17. At the end of the day, I’d be surprised if we didn’t more or less agree with our views. I know it’s on the players as well. The frustration is that they made the predictable move when there were arguably better options out there. Ruff can certainly be the man for the job and I will celebrate his success if that’s the case. But the Sabres organization doesn’t look thorough and serious here imo.
  18. I can’t tell if you mean this positively or negatively and that’s the problem.
  19. The playoffs is my entire point. Ruff has very little success making the playoffs and like you said, when we does, it’s because he already has a playoff roster, not that he has elevated the team. There was much more pedigree out there from a making the playoffs perspective. Especially in the last decade. But they went with Ruff.
  20. So when given a roster good enough to make the playoffs he can do the bare minimum and do so. Good stuff. Glad we have a roster of good players.
  21. We just moved back to the area and have been looking for a CSA and meat share. Any good recommendations?
  22. He spent his entire career with an inept, loser franchise and finally comes a chance to sign elsewhere and now he’s not tough enough to stick it out? lol this is a great take. The only reason anyone has re-signed here the last decades is security, overpayment, or knowing we are their only suitor.
  23. And you’re claiming what exactly then? That he’s not playing through the pain of a spleen injury and has been faking for months? He’s a hockey player, if he can tie up his skates and contribute in the playoffs he’s going to. I’ve read face off wins are almost directly tied to face offs taken at the NHL level. It’s no surprise he’s gotten better.
