I think this bleeds into fire Phil or not. If we get a new coach that wants to go a different way then it’s a new system for the players to learn. GM has a choice to make. Keep Phil and let him keep trying to teach that system. Fire Phil but hire a coach who who can pick up where he left off but with a different approach. Or new coach new system. If GM feels Phil has lost the room then it narrows it down a bit.

How cool would it be to see Wolverine fight The Hulk? The MCU is so big with so many alternate story lines. Just not a fan of Gambit’s absence so far.

Funny thing is after a long summer of no hockey people will be looking forward to it. If attendance gets too low they can always bring in some former player or coach that appeals to nostalgia. People will eat that garbage all day as with Nolan, Housley, Lafontaine. All management has to do is give the illusion of hope and when that well dries up you just switch the faces, wash, rinse, repeat. New guys get some YouTube montage of their hiring and promises with some epic background music and by end of winter we are talking about next year’s hopes and dreams.

I don’t get how they had some good/close games against Tampa earlier in the season and now the wheels have fallen off.

I don’t get out enough

I think this game is an experience in how they need to manage emotions and remember it’s the score that matters. I like that they’re not backing down but they are not creating anything. Only 20 minutes to get much needed points. Must win period. Must have balance Daniel Son.
