Cap expected to rise $3M. https://twitter.com/Sportsnet/status/674246804079267840

I think we've got a few untouchables. Eichel, O'Reilly, Risto, Reinhart with Reinhart being untouchable unless a young superstar shakes loose which doesn't happen. You're probably not trading Kane. Beyond that I think everybody is available. Girgensons and Ennis are two guys that could be a big part of a multi-asset deal. The best prospects are Fasching, Baptiste, Bailey and Guhle. Teams might see something in Brycen Martin, Florentino, Hurley or Olofsson. I really like Martin, Olofsson and Fasching. Beyond that I'm not committed to making sure any of them stick around. You could consider Pysyk or McCabe, but I think that's taking far too much of a risk on defense unless you're getting a better dman back. So the pieces are there. But then you're really sticking with what you've got minus a few tweaks and free agent pursuits. This team is a playoff team next season if you keep them together and add Stamkos... If we want to get a little crazy we could probably manage to add Stamkos AND Yandle. It'd likely mean we're sacrificing somewhere down the road, but it'd immediately make this team ready to compete. But is there a risk of young players being "forced" to immediately play top minutes on a contender? I don't know. That'd be an interesting discussion.

I'd say we've still got the assets to pull off one more trade of that caliber, but if we made the move we'd be absolutely dried up of prospects and wouldn't be able to afford dealing off more picks. For the right player(s) I'd be willing to make the move but I don't see a way to go yet. I'd also like to get to this year's free agency to see who is legitimately available (Stamkos and Yandle being two names to watch).

Ah, correct. I never felt like they prioritized the leader of the group holding her captive though. It seemed like a pointless route to go aside from using it as a way to show us how Fish can command a group of men within hours of knowing them. She's been out all season so I imagine she'll be back soon enough. Also, Fish Mooney's character is exclusive to the show, right?

I only got to watch the first half tonight prior to the Sabres game and then happened to flip it back as the refs signaled Bailey's game winner. Looking at the stats it looks like Cousins was solid but didn't do enough to win his team the game. Getting 2.5 yards per carry from his backs probably does help.

The first season was more serial than the second, so they weren't really "subplots" as much as they were episodic problems to solve.

Nashville's defense is so damn talented. Josi - Weber Jackman - Jones Ekholm - Ellis Ekholm likely plays the third pairing so they can run six deep. Jackman is no slouch at his old age, though. I still think a Jones for Johansen deal makes a ton of sense. Or maybe Ekholm and a prospect for Duchene. I don't think they'd struggle much if you took one of those guys out of the group. Ellis slides up for Jones or they pull somebody up for Ekholm. Add a legitimate top center for a team that struggles to score at times. Rinne is good enough to make up for any struggles a new guy brings.

In three years Ryan O'Reilly is going to be 27 years old with several years left on his contract. I see no reason to believe he's going to do anything but improve.

You can call me RhinHOSSeros from now on.

Yesterday he exchanged blow for blow with Drew Brees and the Saints. The Saints offense has been struggling lately so the Panthers defense definitely had a rough game. His defense has definitely been a huge part of their success, but he's making every play they need and then some. Kuechly and Norman are two of the very best at their position.

Maybe Bettman and other top NHL execs got ahead of themselves here... As NHL BoG meet, several sports bankers say their NHL team owner clients have indicated they won’t support expansion to either LV or Quebec.

Yesterday was one of the better days I've had in years and I'm sure it was even more special for my mom. Because every one of my brothers are such different people doing so many different things we haven't been together in years (when we sat down and talked about it we could remember a time outside of our brother's funeral in 2009). So yesterday all five of us were together at once with our mom for the first time since we said goodbye to one of us six years ago... An absolute blast for her as she loves the Bills but rarely gets to games. We've all dealt with so much but she had to bury a husband and a son way too soon, so these moments are always special. I made sure to get a photo of us all together so I can have it framed up for Christmas. Can't wait to have her open it.

So what you're telling me with those stats is that both QBs are having very good statistical seasons. I probably do undersell Tyrod, but I'm still very confident that his limitations will never allow him to do a ton of winning. He's wildly inconsistent in the middle of the field and on short throws which is key to a player of his style. When I watch Cousins I see him making plays to every area of the field like you want your QB to do. Difference of opinion. I don't think many people have taken the time to watch or think about Kirk Cousins since his early struggles. I hope he leaves Washington because I hate them, but I think he's got a chance to be a good QB on a good team. Side note: it'll be interesting to see the MVP debate. Brady had it locked up but has lost two straight weeks and was bad against Philly yesterday. If the Panthers run the table I think it has to be Cam Newton. Otherwise there's Carson Palmer, JJ Watt and not too much more.

Irrelevant to the league. Still the forever blip.

Young journalist says: What... The... . The law enforcement and the landlord deserve to be bent over and smacked. Take them back to grade school and shame them. That was an embarrassment for the ages. The journalists did their jobs, but I wish some law enforcement official would've insulted and demeaned them ahead of time. Yack. I'd rather be publicly shamed than publicly be given access to something that should've clearly remained confidential for the time being. Insult me. Hinder my career progression. Don't give me the scoop of a lifetime that should be giving some officer a promotion when he finds a connection to some underground ISIS trash.

Kirk Counsins > Tyrod Taylor as far as actual quarterbacking... Easily. Kirk Cousins is the lazy man's bad QB... Takes little brain power to act like he's bad. Last five weeks while his team fights for a division title and plays for a bad team: 71.3% 1,367, 10 TDs, 2INTs K bye (That may be six weeks, can't count fingers drunk)

Sabrespace family squabbles and scandals
Hoss replied to Ghost of Dwight Drane's topic in The Aud Club
Essentially everybody on this board hates me and wishes me death yet I have never blocked a single one of you. I have given half the board pound key (####) treatment but still... Don't block people. You're all great and terrible at the same time. Couldn't imagine a board without any of you.- 223 replies

Perfect garbage win for this trash franchise. Perpetual mediocrity. Tyrod is mediocre and the future all in the same. March on irrelevant Bills, March on.

Connor Cook is under some fire for this trophy acceptance after the game: https://twitter.com/Deadspin/status/673369409247944704 He also never mentioned the RB who won the game with under :30 on the clock when interviewed after the game. When his teammate was asked about the QB playing hurt he didn't give him any credit and instead said that everybody plays hurt this time of year. There's some red flags with a guy who isn't a captain after starting at QB for multiple years and perceived attitude issues... But I still see him called a leader all the time. I think he's just fiery as hell. He's a killer on the field for better or worse.

Yea, I'd only be interesting in giving up a lot to get Lynch or Goff. I don't think you'd need to give up a ton to move up for Cook unless you're in the playoffs. But I also forgot he's playing hurt.
