  1. Stamkos >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kane Just one stall would do, right? I don't understand why he wouldn't fit in like the rest. Because he's great?
  2. One small clarification: on the open market he's only getting seven years which makes it an even easier deal to make. He's worth that kind of cash as one of the league's best forwards. We haven't had a player like him in a VERY long time, and he would give us the best top-six in the NHL within a few years of that deal with Eichel, Reinhart, Kane, O'Reilly and Stamkos. You can always figure out contract stuff for other guys later and make it work. I never worry about that when giving a contract to a 26 year old. If he was approaching 30 I'd be hands off all the way, but he'll play at an elite level for all seven years of that deal. I would also open the vault for him.
  3. Araksya Karapetyan @Araksya 1300 S. Waterman in San Bernardino (Empire Health Center) active scene, reports of 1-3 shooters, multiple victims--no word on what building Another mass shootings. Sounds like 12 dead so far. you guns.
  4. It is for conditioning.
  5. Because? There's no legitimate reason not to pursue a star player, in my opinion.
  6. He'll be a free agent probably which I would absolutely get involved with. I would also still trade for him if we could get an extension done first.
  7. You're right, but why isn't Reinhart a winger? If he isn't then O'Reilly is. I remember some comparisons to Patrick Sharp when considering the possibility he was moved to wing. We've got maybe two good wingers right now. Bailey and Baptiste have a shot to develop but in the meantime I'd like to see somebody added.
  8. I think like the Eicharamba call (I actually pointed out that you used it when you tweeted it). It's very Rick, too.
  9. One of Risto's assists taken away after the game
  10. Kane soooooooo close to the hatty
  11. We all know this ends with a Ristoliner into the back of the net.
  12. Abdelkader is so deadly on the PP you've got to wonder if Blashill is a nacrophiliac.
  13. https://allstarvote.nhl.com I think it's our duty to get Risto into this thing. He's earned it.
  14. I never watched Smallville, but I figure that was the entire point of the show. But I actually liked Man of Steel and am really looking forward to BvS.
  15. I don't believe the coverage would be any different if it were a white man. It was an argument with guns. The world is very aware of these situations and that they happen every day. There just happened to be a lot of people around. If somebody just walked up and shot into a crowd of hundreds of people it would be reported on regardless of race. There would absolutely be way more coverage if it was a white person who walked up and fired into a crowd, but it'd be coverages either way. There's obvious bias. Murder in the suburbs is coverage way more than the inner city because the neighbors in the suburbs are so much more willing to talk and appeared shocked. "I never thought it would happen to Jimmy."
  16. I don't really get the "playing dumb" tactic when it comes to media coverage. There's an obvious reason one was covered more than the other. One was a political statement at a hotly-debated business that impacts the lives of everybody. Three people were murdered in the name of political terrorism. The other was a situation where a large number of people gathered and several started shooting at each other. Nobody died.
  17. I take Risto. I knock Seth Jones down a little just because he's playing for such a great defensive team. I'm not sure what he would do if asked to be the best defenseman on his team.
  18. It's who says no between Nashville and Columbus & Nashville and Edmonton. Two separate deals. I take Johansen over Jones and Jones over RNH, but it's close between Jones and Johansen.
  19. Craig Custance and another writer asked who would say no to the following two deals: Seth Jones for Ryan Johansen Seth Jones for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
  20. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/crosby-dubinsky-maple-leafs-oilers-jets-byfuglien-hamonic/ 30 Thoughts. Says Winnipeg tried dealing Byfuglien for Hamonic but it didn't work. They don't want to deal Myers or Trouba in that deal. Says the Blues, Oilers and Isles may have had three-way talks but it didn't get far. Indicates the Blue Jackets are definitely testing Johansen's value. Sees Buffalo as a contender in a Tinordi trade from Montreal.
  21. I don't believe they've caster Strange, though. At least it hasn't been announced. But they shouldn't kill either of them this early if that's where they're going.
  22. The title sequence was snowy for a while and getting slightly "colder" later in the season despite it not snowing durin the show. I think that was all about him.
  23. I'd say he's onside based on that photo. Likely has a few fingers over the ball but not bothered by it and appreciate that it wasn't called... But the Browns tackle should've jumped to draw the flag.
  24. I agree with what you're saying Eleven. Everything except the offsides part. You can jump offsides as long as you don't make contact and get back before the snap. The player that jumped didn't commit any penalties.
  25. I think the title sequence is the clue as to which character will be bigger. They already cast him so we know he'll be coming immediately. I do agree that they're going kind of fast with some of the villains, but they have to keep it interesting somehow. We've seen several hints at other villains so far, but they're still clearly a ways off. This show could honestly go on to become a Batman show over time with Jim Gordon taking a backseat. They'd have to make some jumps in time in between seasons, but it would be fun to follow.
