  1. I wouldn't be surprised. Lundy is on a mission.
  2. IIRC, Hextall was another one that lost his stick often (when he wasnt using it to hack and slash).
  3. Great game so far.
  4. How many pull-ups do you think Gretzky could do in his prime???
  5. Yep. Had some white hots tonight. Pop open. Delicious.
  6. Vanek ready for free agency: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=721369
  7. That's a mighty big if. Chicago is now 13-0 in Games 5-7 over the past two seasons, and 5-0 when facing elimination.
  8. I'm guessing that you haven't discovered Brooke Candy yet...
  9. Hmm. I've been praying that he would just take a coaching position in the KHL.
  10. It didn't seem to ruin Girgensons.
  11. I'm thinking that I heard Gretzky say in an interview that he wanted to stay an Oiler for his entire career. Until the trade happened. I think I'd prefer the stability, personally.
  12. Yeah, but he's stepped up when it really mattered.
  13. Kaner with 7 points in last 2 games. What a bad time for the Kings to allow him to wake up.
  14. Tonight's game makes me sad. One game closer to no hockey for a few months.
  15. You may be right, and I've thought about that plenty of times. Yet, I feel connected and like I belong anytime I have been on a sports team, and also at a few of my jobs. I appreciate the positive responses from you all, it wasnt easy to open up about some of those things. Pretty cool exercise, I'm enjoying everyone's posts. I find similarities with items from every person.
  16. The guy WAS a really good player for us. I hope he enjoys his recent retirement.
  17. Hmm. Not sure if I'm correctly grasping the concept of the thread, but here goes: 1. I am an only child. My father stopped being a father when I became a teen, and my mother died from cancer 7 years ago. 2. I have always been surrounded by "friends" my entire life, but have never felt truly connected to any of them, or like I've had a real friend. This has spanned thru a variety of different circles. 3. I believe that I could've played in the NHL, if I hadn't tore up my meniscus and suffered a concussion during a freak accident on a breakaway in a roller hockey game at Genesee Valley Rink when I was 13. 4. I was kicked out of high school, and never graduated. Yet, I was accepted into college after scoring 98th percentile on the entrance exam. 5. I have a teaching degree that I have never used. After college, I started working at a concert venue, which led me to being a booker, promoter, talent buyer, and touring around with bands. Sounds fun to some, but I'm glad that I've moved on. 6. I have met a lot of "famous" people - athletes, musicians, actors - and I don't care. It's no big deal to me. 7. I almost never smile. This leads to people assuming that I am angry, a murderer, or miserable, even when I'm happy. It gets annoying being asked what's wrong, even tho I am content with life. 8. I will likely never have kids, and I am okay with that. 9. I own, and have owned, a variety of pets. Dog, cat, cockatoo, cockatiel, lovebirds, quaker parrot, iguana, scorpion, chameleon, rabbit, and more - I love animals. 10. I feel like I post often on this board, but despite that, I don't feel like I am a part of your community.
  18. The ferry was taking people from the island to the terminal after the concert. There was a subway entrance right across the street from the ferry tetminal. My apologies for not clarifying. Also, something was going on with the Port Authority Bus Terminal - they were having people board buses at Grand Central...idk.
  19. 11 basically summed up my feelings about NYC. Terrible attitudes, and utterly dirty. You would think the most famous city in the world would want to take more pride in its appearance. Tokyo, Miami, Toronto, Paris, etc are all vastly cleaner cities. Also, the commuting. Got stuck sleeping in Grand Central Station once, because they couldn't figure their bus schedules out, and couldn't even tell us what time it was coming. Another time, leaving a concert on Governors Island, couldn't get train tickets because not only were the automated booths not accepting credit or cash (only coins), but the ticket booth was closed. Created a nice scenario for around 50,000 people all trying to leave at once. No cabs could even be found, and no stores were open. I ended up trading a homeless man some cash for some change. Have never been back, and never will. There are great options for food, cool historic sites, but its not worth the hassle, nor the atrocious prices for everything.
  20. 2OT - here we go!
  21. Unlike Qwk and Tank, I hate NYC.
