I do not understand how a coach losing the room due to A) not being a good leader and B) not changing approach after failure after failure falls on the players.
Your first paragraph sounds like it should be from last season. It is completely unacceptable to have missed the playoffs this year, especially when all of our key young guys have taken a step forward in their development (Sam was still better this year than last, even though Dan hates him).
Jackals got destroyed last night in their penultimate game. 7-1. Jackals kept starting fights and embarassing themselves when the game was still in reach (3-1). It was sad. Final game tonight. I feel a duty to attend.
And, like, a competent coach could switch between running them as centers and putting O'Reilly at wing to suit the matchup.
Man, it'll be nice when our coach isn't just cluelessly throwing any old lines out every night.
I don't know how many more concerns about Eichel and Reinhart I can stomach. They've both been good soldiers for Bylsma and now they're having the very human reaction of being pissed about a lost season. This team could've been pushing for a playoff spot last season but Bylsma had the "we're only one year removed from tanking" excuse.
This is the best thing to come out of this thread.
(Not specifically trashing the OP, the entire board has been pretty bad for the last couple weeks)
(Oh god, am I the new shrader?)
