When you're brilliant and successful you're allowed to be a hardass like Belechick and Babdick. When you're a boring, useless has-been then nobody cares that you're tryna hang onto some shred of credibility. Aud (I think) said it upthread somewheres. If we were on our way to the playoffs (AS WE ABSOLUTELY SHOULD BE), then I highly doubt Samson would've been late.

They are. True was tryna count it as some victory that I said 4 and 5 have issues. Like, they're perfectly fine stories, and they even have some of the best stuff in the song of ice and fire series in them. But as far as continuing the story started by the first three? Hah. Hah. Yeah not so good at that. Major editing problems there. True is STILL NOT ALLOWED to assert that the show got worse when the books did. Because the show got worse when the showrunners had to make decisions. And they're dumb and bad so all their decisions are dumb and bad.

Dwight is a good guy. I'm almost tempted to use the phrase "pure soul." He's always had a kind of mythological folk hero presence on this board. I remember when I first joined he was around and PA was the absent shadowy figure that got mentioned all the time. GoDD reached out to me via PM when I was 19 and had just failed out of McGill. It's weird to remember how much his kind words meant to me at the time. But I generally found his writing to be insulting to the intelligence of the reader, sooo yeah. Can't say I'm all for bringing him back.
