  1. You can check out any time you'd like. But you can never leave.
  2. Contrarianman... STRIKES AGAAYYYN!
  3. Yeah, now that I know he wasn't giving Bylsma the rest of the season out of some misguided form of respect, Murray really looks like an idiot. He's a talented scout in over his head.
  4. LOOKS LIKE LIGER'S BACK ON THE MENU BOYS
  5. I still think we can salvage Zemgus as long as Bylsma is gone soon. I think he'll be an effective middle sixer for us. I agree with Liger that Larsson is clearly better right now. (Good to see you, man)
  6. I just ran into Tank on Market Street. Heh, small world. Oh, and he's hawt.
  7. Oh god even two years ago I was a disaster.
  8. Good god that was so stupid to read. Different people react to disappointment differently. It could just as easily be said that a player who slams their stick into the boards after a goal against can't keep his head in the game and roll with the punches. I should probably take a Sabrespace break if all I'm going to read are concerns about the players' character. What a giant load of BS.
  9. If only we had a defensively awesome player that could play center in the defensive zone and had the skill to keep up with Jack offensively. Ideally this player would be a center with experience playing wing with a talented young center. Ugh. It just sucks that no such player is on our roster.
  10. I did not much care for the score in this episode. In general, I think Dave Porter's style was much better in Breaking Bad with all the deep bass and strings. Better Call Saul's weird synth-y stuff mirrors the emotion of scenes just fine, but rarely enhances them. Still processing the episode. I love the way Mike is reverse engineering his way to Gus. The black and white scene with Gene was so heartbreaking. Jimmy would never dime on that kid, it was really nice to see him poking out of the facade and yelling for the kid to get a lawyer (the cop neglected to recite the Miranda rights, I think). I feel like Chuck is reaching the end of his arc. I foresee an exit from the story. The scene with Jimmy and the near-to-tears military guy was so great. I loved that guy's reaction when Jimmy called the plane a B52.
  11. Just lost a huge post. it
  12. Hahaha if that's a real place, I certainly haven't heard of it.
  13. Blech. I hate this argument. Talking about systems and backing up claims doesn't automatically make that analysis unlistenable to general audiences. Just because Suicide Squad made a bunch of money doesn't mean it has value.
  14. Okkaayyyy... but that doesn't really have anything to do with why the current iteration of the sabres suck. Gimme those psychedelic sphincters
  15. If only our team had more a**holes on it, then we'd truly have character and be able to win the hockeys.
  16. You must be right. 38 has never sounded like this before.
  17. Because sports journalism is a joke, Flagg. I was disappointed when I saw you started the "why I'm not an expert" thread. Because you have more expertise than 98% of people that get paid to talk or write about hockey. You actually think and do the work to support what you say. I can't believe how moderate you keep your tone on here while engaging with people that don't put in a hundredth of the thought that you do into what they write.
  18. What do you want to call it?
  19. Can we get some specifics here? Because as I see it, the amount of actual legwork and proof that the anti-bylsma brigade has put together is immense. The only defenses of Byslma are these half-hearted feelings that people have. Or people saying that the team lacks character, or is the new rotten core (which is just as much bs now as it was when Thomas Vanek was our best skater by a mile and everyone wanted to focus on "intangibles" rather than TALENT).
  20. 11th in the entire league in PPG as a 20 year old. Come on man.
  21. The players "giving up on themselves" is dan losing the room.
