Take your policing to the Gwen thread.

Because d4rk, internet king, has never once had an extended off topic discussion on Sabrespace.

The article you posted was a character assassination of Mia Farrow by a film-maker who loves Woody Allen and his work. It was not a factual breakdown whatsoever. He starts off by making his relationship with Woody Allen clear (despite claiming that he's not in Allen's pocket), and saying that misinformation is being spread all over the internet. Then he fires into his defense of Allen with the Soon-Yi apologist thing, which is shortly followed by an amended history of Mia Farrow's sex history. Still no facts. When he finally does dig into the so called "facts" he doesn't follow through on any of his ideas. He introduces something that could possibly cast Allen in a negative light, the investigative team destroying their notes before they handed them in to the judge, and then says I don't know anything about this, it could be important but whatever. Then goes on to offer more excuses for Allen, like how one of the nanny's at their home cast doubt on the story of the molestation. He omits that several other nannies expressed their concern and suspicions of Woody Allen. Very classy that he didn't assassinate the 7 year old girl victim's character and instead decided to aim at her mother. Why would I ever trust this man to give a level headed, factual defense of Woody Allen? Especially when he pleads ignorance when going over the "facts"? Dylan Farrow released this open letter to the internet a few days after Robert Weide wrote his article. http://kristof.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/02/01/an-open-letter-from-dylan-farrow/ Then the editor at thedailybeast tried to save face by giving Weide a chance to change what he said and he, moronically, stood by it. Here's the editors note: Editor's note: Subsequent to publishing the above piece, an open letter from Dylan Farrow appeared in Nicholas Kristof’s column in the New York Times. When asked for comment, Weide sent this reply: “This continues to be a very sad story from every angle. I can only say I found nothing in Dylan’s letter that hasn’t previously been alleged in the two previous Vanity Fair articles, which I’ve already addressed. I also see nothing that contradicts what I wrote for The Daily Beast. If I wrote it today, it would be exactly the same piece. As I’ve already stated in my article, I hope she finds closure, and I sincerely wish her all the happiness and peace she’s been looking for." Woody Allen exploiting the power that he had in his relationship with Soon-Yi as a young woman characterizes him very well. When I say that "you either see the world through a feminist lens or you don't," I was referring to the fact that you and I are never going to see eye to eye on this. The fact that Woody Allen was found innocent holds no water for me. He was found innocent in a society that has time after time failed the victims and survivors of sexual assault. You can't say that we have to judge every case based on its own merit because the deck is already stacked against women. Even if, by some weird miracle, Woody Allen is totally innocent, and he's had to deal with this BS from all these people falsely believing him to be a pedophile, then whatever. One rich guy having a slightly harder life doesn't concern me in the context of countless survivors of sexual assault being ignored. There are just as many people on the internet that skew the other way and will immediately disregard anything that a woman has to say. Just bringing up the PC media types (the cancer of American Liberalism) and ignoring the other, just as cancerous, side misrepresents the issue. There are more people ready to believe Woody Allen than Dylan Farrow and her mother and her brother. There are even more people that have never even heard of these accusations in the first place, and that's part of the problem.

I agree with Swamp that Doc is good when he's on, but is prone to blowing off some regular season games. I was trying to listen to him in the final caps-pens games but the sound mixing was horrible. Doc's voice was getting swallowed by the crowd noise.

That article is by somebody in Woody Allen's pocket, even though he wants to say "ohh and people can say I'm in his pocket, whatever." I specifically liked the "Mia Farrow is a slut." Section of the article. As somebody who thinks it's completely creepy and weird for Woody Allen to marry Soon-Yi, all of these points: #1: Soon-Yi was Woody’s daughter. False. #2: Soon-Yi was Woody’s step-daughter. False. #3: Soon-Yi was Woody and Mia’s adopted daughter. False. Soon-Yi was the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and André Previn. Her full name was Soon-Yi Farrow Previn. #4: Woody and Mia were married. False. #5: Woody and Mia lived together. False. Woody lived in his apartment on Fifth Ave. Mia and her kids lived on Central Park West. In fact, Woody never once stayed over night at Mia’s apartment in 12 years. #6: Woody and Mia had a common-law marriage. False. New York State does not recognize common law marriage. Even in states that do, a couple has to cohabitate for a certain number of years. #7: Soon-Yi viewed Woody as a father figure. False. Soon-Yi saw Woody as her mother’s boyfriend. Her father figure was her adoptive father, André Previn. #8: Soon-Yi was underage when she and Woody started having relations. False. She was either 19 or 21. (Her year of birth in Korea was undocumented, but believed to be either 1970 or ’72.) Don't mean a god damned thing to me. If you're dating someone's mother and have adopted a couple of their siblings that's a father-daughter dynamic no matter what. These technicalities don't change anything. You either see the world through a feminist lens or you don't. "PC media types" are not a huge machine that spins up to slander poor innocent victims of false accusation, as you always state whenever this comes up.

Has there ever been a true marxist state, though? None of the revolutions have been anywhere near bloody enough. Maybe we could be the first... -
More than you already should hahahahaha

Well, the article was awesome, even if it is the kind of article that makes you go uuuugggghhhhh. I chose this thread over the random thread.

So far I've heard one good review and one bad review from smart people I trust. So... I guess I better go see it and break the tie. It's just so hard to pony up for movies when I'm accustomed to getting them for free. I MISS MY FREE MOVIES. Ahem, I mean my girlfriend. I don't just love her for the movies.

I used to really like Woody Allen. His movies resonated with me. But then I learned about how much of a disgusting human being he is and I can never look at a movie like Manhattan the same way again. I don't trust this man who sexually assaulted his daughter and married his other daughter with depicting women in his films. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/my-father-woody-allen-danger-892572?utm_source=twitter Here's an excellent article by his son, Ronan. It's about the pain his sister has to go through every single time stars line up to work with their father. It's also about how incredibly unfair media coverage is when it comes to a powerful man being accused by a woman. He also makes a clear point about the dangers of silence in main stream media. I was a Woody Allen fan for years before I heard anything bad about the man.

Since TF2 got stale and Valve just takes the Steam checks to the bank and watch movies all day and don't make games, I'm so open to Overwatch being a thing. It's blizzard so I suspect there's going to be some way to bleed the players of their cash, but it'll be optional. Then they will release map packs and charge 10-15 dollars for them. Maybe there will be an in game currency where if you play enough games, you can buy the maps through obsession. Really fun to learn a varied and interesting mechanics set. I might actually buy this game at some point when I have more time to play.

Probably not for Sutter. For Lindy, Babdick, or Quinnevale? Ayup.

If we want a steal, I wouldn't do that, I'd break into your houses while you're hanging out during the draft and take all your electronics/valuables and such.
