    Yeah, that's what I'd expect from most people that haven't seen the ironborn in like 2 or more years. They were an incredibly small part in the show. Asha (Theon's sister) is actually named Yara in the show. Euron is a new character to the show. Well, even if Theon does become the ruler of the Iron Islands he'll need an heir.

    We barely even tanked hard enough. Arizona almost stole DFL from us, so the whole Pat Kaleta at center thing doesn't hold a lot of impact for me.

    They brought the Ironborn back surprisingly well after such a long absence. The scene with Balon and Asha was well done, showing the audience that she's got a better head for ruling than her father. He's a pathetic old man pretending that he won the war of the 5 kings, and he deserved to get killed by Euron. Euron's bragging was a little weird, it kinda sounded like he was showing off for an audience but whatevs, the scene flowed well enough. Then the funeral scene with Aeron Greyjoy (Balon and Euron's other brother, the priest) set up Asha's Queen's Moot.

    From ages 16 to 21 I was with the same girl, for all the good it did me. It's kind of shocking how narrow my world view was, and how simultaneously intelligent I thought myself. Of course I have another girlfriend now, and she's been in Oswego (2 hours, 20 minutes) for her first semester and Europe for the past 3 months. Because I'm apparently a lightning rod for long distance relationships. But I'm going to Europe for 3 weeks in June (why I can't make the draft) and then she's moving back home and I'll FINALLY live in the same place as my significant other. (despite long distance, new relationship is still really good. I've learned a lot of things about myself and matured a lot, and I just can't imagine my previous relationship being anything like this.) But yeah, like 6 double takes a day at least. And the marijuana...

    I'll have to miss it. Again. I keep missing these effing board meet ups! And Randall, don't be intimidated. You have a bed as a guest in my house any time. (I am dead serious) So if you wanna go hiking in and around the southern tier this Summer (specifically around abouts Ithaca), you know who to call.

    Either way, I'm glad we'll be seeing them both on team USA together. Hopefully along with Galchenyuk and Seth Jones we can finally win a damn gold medal.

    I can't fathom why some people want Girgensons centering the third line over Larsson. Larsson is a much better defensive player than Zemgus. If our third line could eventually be Kane-Larsson-Girgensons, then our forward corps will be set.

    I think Larsson is absolutely an offensive threat, but he's more of a playmaker. Gionta and Foligno did a decent job sending his feeds toward the net (with a slight amount of velocity), but Kane could actually cash those in every now and again if he was skating on Larsson's wing. Plus, those two would be impossible to play against.

    We'd probably want to use ventrilo or skype. I like vent better. And yeah I'd record my own mic and the ventrilo audio. We'd probably want the people calling in to record themselves as well. Obviously it would be preferrable if whoever is calling in has a nice microphone/headset but it's not an absolute necessity.

    Oh, and I don't want to put anybody on the spot with this. Sabrespace is first and foremost a community of people sending words to one another over the internet. If you want to keep it that way and don't want to be a part of the podcast, that's up to you. Don't feel pressured because I called you out by name or anything. Just spit balling here.

    This idea has been brought up and lightly discussed before. I've always been intrigued by the idea of podcasting, and I just edited my own Game of Thrones podcast. Oh my god is it easy. I'd be willing to do all the editing and record myself talking with posters that I'm intimately familiar with (which is a lot of you, growl), and it could turn into something really neat. It could possibly attract new posters and even if it doesn't it'd be a blast for all of us to listen to. Imagine all the cool segments we could do. PA vs. Freeman debate time Taro or LTS filling us in on coaching basics TrueBlue and WildCard on the stats Jo and d4rk being all millennial and whatnot. Liger and Rakii covering the draft prospects Dudacek and Swamp debating the coaches challenge The possibilities are endless! I, of course, first had the thought to do a Sabres podcast on my own with my brother and maybe monetize it, but I don't really have hockey opinions that I didn't originally think about here, and I steal so many of the smart things you guys say on here that it just feels wrong. And I don't think I have enough smart things to say about NHL hockey all by myself. Maybe if this actually takes off then we could share the editing responsibilities and I can pawn all of this off on one of you rubes.

    Wow, our second recording session went way better than the first. I've got ~40 minutes listened to so far. 13 minutes of us introducing ourselves and our asoiaf fandom cred, so to speak, and 27 minutes of us talking about the first scene at the Wall. I only had to edit out one joke in poor taste.     I like shield shaped things, and that is one majestic looking panther. Wayyyyyy better than their current logo. Now they have to leave Florida and ditch the lame Bar Mitzvah DJ sound effects they play over the PA. RAWRR RAWRR!
