Woof. Did Baloo refer to PH as Phyllis any time in the past two months? Is he in the doghouse? I'm amazed Hunwick is playing over him, or not sitting Scandy for a night to give him a chance. I know there was the "trade-request" for playing time, but he's played twice in 2019 and the team has been awful during that stretch. Would playing him be worse than Hunwick? I'd imagine he'd be playing hungry and desperate. I'm trying to recall but he didn't look that bad this year, did he? Certainly not as bad as last year.

Pre-mittlestatd news, I'd also really like the look of the line-up if you swapped Smith for Sobotka. Oh well....

They're saying Mittlestadt left the ice early in practice and might be a no-go for tonight. If we're lucky we'll see Sobotka slide into 2C and score 7 goals tonight.

No, you're right. As soon as I posted that I looked at it thought "hmm...that doesn't look right, but with context people should understand what I meant". Anyways, it seems highly unlikely that Buffalo would be able to land Hubey in this scenario as it'd depend on a trade & sign for two players, plus CBJ would be getting a sizeable return for that package, I don't see how Buffalo makes sense here aside from fantasy trade scenarios.

I went through a Murder She Wrote phase on year when it was on netflix, used it as a sleep aide. People are so casual about murder in that show. Everything ties up so nicely and it's usually hunky-dory by the end, smiles all around. I also think Cabot Cove has the highest murder per capita in the entire world. Anyways, I hope the Sabres murder the net of the Islanders so badly that Angela Lansbury gets hoists herself out of retirement to solve the case. Turns out it was Jack Eichel all along.

What is ERods ceiling? In the last 12 games he's put up 6g and 4a...but his first 36 games he had 2g and 9a. I'd hope that he can develop more consistency in his game and put up a more measured pace. Is he capable of hitting 50 points as a 2nd/3rd/4th line roamer? His effort is undeniable, and with some boosted confidence it'll be interesting to see if he's a streaky scorer or growing into something special.

Erod loves effort. I'be been critical of him in the past but man, he's doesn't give up.

Stop trying to pass to Sobotka on odd-man rushes.

Because since the win streak we've had the 2nd or 3rd worst record in the NHL.
