I just saw a photo of Pilut on the pre-game show...he looks like a young/old Tilda Swinton with hair. My analysis is that it will translate well onto the ice.

I really want to see us rout a team and I think this is the game to do it. With Nashville & Toronto after this, this is a must get 2 points. I predict Pilut has two goals, because why the hell not?

On a side note, 4 years ago I started playing ice-hockey because the state of the Sabres had made me "lose my love for the game", which was regained 10-fold once i started lacing them up. Today marks the first time since I've started playing that I've actually considered skipping playing hockey to watch hockey. I've decided to play because I feel like skipping to watch is a jinx-recipe for disaster, and I'll give that no quarter. Go Sabres.

Last time we played Tampa I remember we got absolutely dominated by Tampa but Hutton stole the game for us. I don't want another game like that. Let's push them around a bit. I just re-watched the OT and I'm not sure if it was mentioned up-thread, but the Sabres got a huge break from the refs on the OT winner. The last rush San Jose had prior the the GWG, San Jose passed the puck and the player was off-sides by a mile (at the 3:40 mark, even RJ noticed), total blown call by the refs. Had they whistled that play dead the sequence for Skinner would never had materialized. The refs were blowing calls all game though, so at least they're consistent. Nice to see one go our way though. Go Sabres. I want this streak alive for December 4th.
