This is the only MUST WIN game of the season for us tonight. Why? Because a loss tonight will start a Toronto tail spin in which we will see them lose their playoff spot to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Here's my dream scenario: Leafs lose tonight, and tomorrow against the Caps. Tampa beats the Bruins tomorrow. With 79 games played, Tampa will be one point back on Toronto and they meet Thursday night for a SHOWDOWN that Tampa wins. Toronto then closes their season with losses to Pittsburgh and Columbus, falling out of the playoffs by Tampa. It all starts today in Buffalo. Go Sabres.

Eeeshh...this game has almost no implications, hard to find much to care about. It's the Free Game of the day on yahoo.com for out of marketers looking for quality streams. I hope the Sabres draw a lot of penalties and Eichel keeps racking up points and giving RJ something to scream about.

Will GMTM give Nylander a game or two at the end of the season to give him a "taste" of the big club to show him where his level of play needs to be?

In 52 games Eichel has 50 points...which clocks him in at .96 points per game. If he keeps that pace for the last 9 games he'll have 8.64 points. I vote YES.

Considering Nilson's performance last game and having PIttsburgh at home tomorrow I'm somewhat surprised to see Lehnre get the nod tonight.

Why not Vanek, or the Drew/Ryan Miller combo?

This should let them test the waters a bit against a measly Detroit before Pittsburgh comes to slaughter us at home tomorrow. Also, not that I'm condoning it or anything, but if were looking for better lottery odds, a Detroit win tonight puts them 1 point behind us with 2 games in hand. If they want to leap frog us in the standings this is a big game for them...not that I'm condoning that or anything. Go Schlabers!
