I wasn't talking about your calculation. I bolded "Byram" and "Byrum" used in your post within the first few sentences. 🙂
-
Jarmo's advice was don't do what Admiral Pegula tells you. Adams couldn't comprehend that statement. It short circuited his brain. His thought process was broken on Pegula is right, defend, Pegula, right, defend. And that's how we ended up with all the RHD and no sign of Jarmo.
-
Back then they had to try to lose.. now it's just natural.
-
Tuch will be the gauge of that statement. I don't expect him to re-sign given what's been done so far.
-
It's probably the unspoken strategy of the team. Let's get McKenna. It worked well when they tried it with McDavid.
-
I've nothing else to say... but curious about the bolded. How does this even happen? 🙂
-
I only quoted this post. Just a stupid statement by Adams all around. How about you let the arbitration award be handed out and then you let him walk? Everything about the JBD situation is the perfect example of how broken this team is and how they clearly don't think ahead. No plan for Byram. They got JBD as part of the Cozens deal (filled a hole at the time) but clearly had no idea what they were going to do. Now they see younger guys (don't block the youth!) and cheaper guys (by $100k? That's fine tuning EEE). They let the guy walk before they had to do anything. Whatever.. this is the most I've spent talking about this team in the past few months and likely the most I'll spend talking about it for the next year...

I don't, not even for the briefest of moments, think Adams is the head of the organization. Adams is a sycophant who opted to buy-in to the Pegula business model. He accepted being the one having to talk to the media and defend the actions of his boss. Adams can spin any diatribe he would like but after continued failing of the front office across multiple people it's clear that the way he sees fit to run the ship is in accordance to what Admiral Pegula dictates and that he definitely has all the resources to make sure it happens. Adams is not innocent nor would I even try to defend him. But Pegula is who has made this franchise the joke of the sports world and those who sign on to be part of it are just willing accomplices.

Anybody hoping for <insert name here> to Buffalo should avoid getting too close to the edge of any cliffs.

So.. like every politician ever? Then again, Trump is already elected whereas he was inferring that Obama would do it for re-election. Granted, Trump might be doing it for his hope of everlasting re-election...
-
I get the feeling that the rest of the league looks at the Sabres waiver moves like people read the obituaries. "Oh, he died? A shame." Next. 🙂
-
I did say there was plenty he's guilty of.... Terry Pegula creates an atmosphere that makes UFAs not want to sign here. 🙂 And Josh Allen. You are forgetting the most important part. The Sabres have? Well who knows, they keep shipping out players who become top talents in the league.

I think his nickname is Kozi or something.. but I'd call him Nugget.
-
This is the barometer. We should all get a good sense of where things stand. If Tuch chooses to re-sign here and it's not a significant over payment then perhaps there's something about the team we are missing. However, if he bolts then it's Armageddon because I'm not sure how they spin "local boy spurns homeclub hockey team for 'anyone else'"
-
That's a phrase best used after eating at Taco Bell. But, come to think of it.. I feel the same after thinking about the Sabres.

-
Well, he owns less than 50% of the drought total... the joke that is the top of the organization is the real culprit.
-
Yeah, this forum and Sabres fans everywhere are secretly part of a multi-year psychological study performed by the University of Phoenix. Years from now we'll all feel better about how we demonstrated a professional hockey team can impact the mental health of a wide number of people over a prolonged period of time. I mean, if the Bills can be in a Hallmark Christmas Movie.. why not?
-
Before we criticize Adams for not signing players it's important to note that the player would have to want to sign here. We've established that Buffalo is not a destination for players. Certainly not UFAs with options. If your options are: "The team that holds the record for longest playoff drought in NHL history and is a laughing stock of the NHL" OR "Anyone else" You are choosing "Anyone Else". You simply cannot blame Adams for that. We all can blame Adams for a ton of other things though! He's guilty of a lot of things. Now, why do players sign extensions here? I have no freakin idea anymore.
-
	But what's your point here?

I suppose having a good week is better than having a bad week just like climbing 1 foot up the wall of a 500 foot hole you dug is better than making the hole 501 feet deep. I can kind of appreciate him saying they don't know what the **** they are doing. Sometimes it's nice to be blunt. I think it's hard for people to accept that there has been financial improvements and most of that comes from a rejection from how he handles himself and his views on other things more socially aligned. The question, I think, is whether people put more value in an improving economy or social progression. Personally I would love to find a way to improve both but it seems we continue, as a country, to put those things into diametrically opposing camps so they have to play against each other.

What Would It Take to Get Saros and Stamkos Out of Nashville?LTS replied to St. Pete Gogolak's topic in The Aud Club Possibility vs. Probability.

There is a plan. It's as well thought out as those who play Lotto to become millionaires. It's about as well executed as those who flip a coin at every intersection to figure out how to get where they are going. BUT!!! There is a plan.

I work, a lot. I don't always read every post thoroughly. Feel free to quote it and tag me. That's all I am saying. And things that get buried in paragraphs stand out less than things in a single line. I'm not infallible. If you call it out I will take a look. I've seen you criticize Trump. I'm not a fan of either party so it doesn't matter to me when people critique their members.
