I wouldn't know what is said in the video, just like I don't know what's in a tabloid because there's nothing enticing about it that makes me want to click the link (pick up the periodical). That was the whole point of my question. "Does anyone actually click on these videos?" I clearly am insinuating that I don't by saying I don't find value in them. You posting a video that looks like every other beggar's grab for their 2:30 of attention does nothing to entice me to actually click it. Big red arrows and the font looks like every "I test fart guns for a living and this is the best one!" type video. At least now you've said what is actually IN the video.. to a certain degree. Which could be helpful, still not helpful enough for me. And I'll say it. I honestly don't care if Trump went golfing when he does, etc. Just like I don't give a damn when my kids get on their Xbox or when they go to sleep. I care about their grades. If they can manage their grades and play Xbox all night, then fan-friggin-tastic. Why should I care? People will tell me it's bad "optics". That's such a BS explanation for "you think someone should act a certain way and they didn't". Does it really matter? People demonstrate their priorities through their actions all the time. That he went golfing should come as no surprised... The flooding is an absolutely horrible event.. that I can isolate from what Trump was doing.

Curious question for the forum? Does anyone actually click on these videos? I can't find value in them being posted without any information to accompany them. They feel like the equivalent of a tabloid publication. I don't know how people feel about these things... the use of these by people, in my mind, is a clear indication to NOT pay attention to anything they have to say. That's me of course. So I am curious, does anyone just click on this video to see what is presented?

This will take some time to digest. But I did receive a wonderfully long and positively reinforced message from the SSA this morning telling me how great the bill will be for those collecting social security. So it must be a great bill. I mean, it's in the name and the SSA is telling me it is. 🙂 It likely sucks, like most legislation. Like the "Affordable" care act..

I'm on vacation.. now and all of next week. I will not be reading Sabres news. I will not be working. I will be letting F all happen in the world and it will be glorious. I won't be at the beach. I won't be where it's too hot, too humid, etc. It will be glorious. Best of times to all!

Thankfully every day is complaint day when it comes to the Sabres. In comparison, for me, everything is great! So I'll wait until tomorrow to post more. 🙂

Noted. Also saw this posted elsewhere.. it does make sense then. So I retract my criticism... a bit. It's still all crap.

This is not accurate and what I alluded to when I posted. They can choose not to accept and the player becomes a free agent. So instead of seeing what happened they just simply said "Out out damned spot" and went about signing a gaggle of low level defenders to two way deals. One might argue they did "right by the player" to release him now so he had a better chance of signing somewhere.

You've identified the one criteria Buffalo clings to when making decisions. Adams couldn't, but Admiral Pegula can. He's a visionary. And now I feel like I had Taco Bell.
-
I wasn't talking about your calculation. I bolded "Byram" and "Byrum" used in your post within the first few sentences. 🙂
-
Jarmo's advice was don't do what Admiral Pegula tells you. Adams couldn't comprehend that statement. It short circuited his brain. His thought process was broken on Pegula is right, defend, Pegula, right, defend. And that's how we ended up with all the RHD and no sign of Jarmo.
-
Back then they had to try to lose.. now it's just natural.
-
Tuch will be the gauge of that statement. I don't expect him to re-sign given what's been done so far.
-
It's probably the unspoken strategy of the team. Let's get McKenna. It worked well when they tried it with McDavid.
-
I've nothing else to say... but curious about the bolded. How does this even happen? 🙂
-
I only quoted this post. Just a stupid statement by Adams all around. How about you let the arbitration award be handed out and then you let him walk? Everything about the JBD situation is the perfect example of how broken this team is and how they clearly don't think ahead. No plan for Byram. They got JBD as part of the Cozens deal (filled a hole at the time) but clearly had no idea what they were going to do. Now they see younger guys (don't block the youth!) and cheaper guys (by $100k? That's fine tuning EEE). They let the guy walk before they had to do anything. Whatever.. this is the most I've spent talking about this team in the past few months and likely the most I'll spend talking about it for the next year...

I don't, not even for the briefest of moments, think Adams is the head of the organization. Adams is a sycophant who opted to buy-in to the Pegula business model. He accepted being the one having to talk to the media and defend the actions of his boss. Adams can spin any diatribe he would like but after continued failing of the front office across multiple people it's clear that the way he sees fit to run the ship is in accordance to what Admiral Pegula dictates and that he definitely has all the resources to make sure it happens. Adams is not innocent nor would I even try to defend him. But Pegula is who has made this franchise the joke of the sports world and those who sign on to be part of it are just willing accomplices.

Anybody hoping for <insert name here> to Buffalo should avoid getting too close to the edge of any cliffs.

So.. like every politician ever? Then again, Trump is already elected whereas he was inferring that Obama would do it for re-election. Granted, Trump might be doing it for his hope of everlasting re-election...
-
I get the feeling that the rest of the league looks at the Sabres waiver moves like people read the obituaries. "Oh, he died? A shame." Next. 🙂
-
I did say there was plenty he's guilty of.... Terry Pegula creates an atmosphere that makes UFAs not want to sign here. 🙂 And Josh Allen. You are forgetting the most important part. The Sabres have? Well who knows, they keep shipping out players who become top talents in the league.
-
I think his nickname is Kozi or something.. but I'd call him Nugget.

This is the barometer. We should all get a good sense of where things stand. If Tuch chooses to re-sign here and it's not a significant over payment then perhaps there's something about the team we are missing. However, if he bolts then it's Armageddon because I'm not sure how they spin "local boy spurns homeclub hockey team for 'anyone else'"
-
That's a phrase best used after eating at Taco Bell. But, come to think of it.. I feel the same after thinking about the Sabres.
