  1. Always liked him. Enjoy your retirement.
  2. He sees the train wreck is still barreling down the track.
  3. I decided to commute home from work at noon today to avoid any mess should that snow band decide to migrate back south while I am at work. Commercial traffic on I-90 is banned from Rochester to the PA line west due to the weather. I passed 4 semis pulled over westbound on my ride home. And a 5th was on the shoulder and appeared to be unoccupied. I have to think driving a truck on a roadway with an active ban risks losing your class 1 license.
  4. Flourish is relative. They played better, and still stumbled when things got interesting. They have not shown anything resembling tenacity, and they have put themselves in a deep enoigh hole thst actual dominance is the requirement at this point. Im not advocating Comrie for Levi. I am lamenting no outside help. It will definitely affect our ability to become dominant for this last half.
  5. Nah, man. The performance will percolate out.
  6. This is a very strained comparison. The Bills have demonstrated the ability to hang with the best in the league consistently, and internal struggles put them in a situation that required winning out to make the playoffs. But they had demonstrated the ability to dominate consistently beforehand. The Sabres need a very similar end of season performance and have never demonstrated the ability to pit on a run of dominance. Sometimes optimism is a fools errand.
  7. My wife still uses one regularly.
  8. I don’t remember the name of the medical condition he suffered from. I assumed it wasn’t sufficiently treatable. I can only honestly hope that it is treatable enough that he can go back to his dream. That would be ***** amazing.
  9. Smell my finger.
  10. And they say you don’t have any positives in you.
  11. You’ve heard it from me before, but regardless of playoff likelihood, we have to keep the foot on the gas. For multiple reasons. Not the least of which is improving our ability to recruit veteran players that will actually improve the competitiveness of the team. My issue is, I don’t think that “foot on the gas” is in Levi’s best interests. And in that regard, I consider KA to be somewhat derelict in his duties to not have reacted and found an outside goalie that fits “foot on the gas” and allows Levi to develop and play at the appropriate level.
  12. The Sabres winning the Super Bowl would make me feel better about Pegula’s ownership of the hockey team.
  13. Sticking with Levi demonstrates a priority towards winning only works in the context of, “we are sticking with what we’ve got”. Which, to me, is not much of a priority towards winning.
  14. There are at least 25 of them that would be adequate. Take your pick.
  15. If shoveling yesterday didn’t give me a heart attack, I should be OK to finish this out, right?
  16. He’s played way better than I expected, but there isn’t a player/role that I trust right now.
  17. There is that. And I keep going back to phantom success when players play in roles above them. They often have better numbers than they should. At least for awhile.
  18. Yup. I don’t trust anyone on this team.
  19. The solution is simple to consider, difficult to do Midseason, and seemingly something KA is not willing to do. Trade for a legit 2G and get Levi the reps he needs in Rochester. This team is out of the playoffs (unless you believe in miracles), but this team absolutely must prioritize winning now, regardless.
  20. It was as much a short memory of the tragedy last year as anything.
