If someone like Owen Power, who would have been a fan of someone like EJ, isn’t looking up to, and paying respect to EJs advice…… I think thats a problem. One we've seen before.

I was really hoping EJ and to a lesser extent Clifton would be the big boy voices that would coerce this team into playing like they need to. EJ spoke up once, and we haven’t heard it since. I wonder if it was not well received.

I saw the highlights this morning. Halfway decent goaltending on Toronto’s part and this is a tight game. I counted 4 goals that were cringy if I am a Toronto goalie. If the Sabres team is enjoying some hope over that result, it is false hope. We won’t be seeing that level of incompetence overall by an opponent again any time soon.

That is my take. The players are choosing the path.

I try (not always successful) to not read more into what is said by the coach and GM because so much of it is filtered. But this bothers me. It tells me that either 1. The team as built is fatally flawed to not be either able or willing to play a two way game, 2. Donnie can only get them to play hard by playing fun, or 3 Both. This statement is the last straw for me. If the problem is #1 we need a GM that can build a functional playoff team like NOW, and if its #2 I am firmly on board with the let’s hire a dinosaur coach NOW crowd.

I am so looking forward to another 11-7 gameday roster. Not really.

I want only good things for Gus and KO, and that includes them having a shot at the playoffs. Mike Ramsey was my all time favorite Sabre. I was very happy to see him get a chance at a Cup with Pitt, and then Detroit before he retired. He earned it. I feel exactly the same with regards to Gus and KO, so I guess in that regard I would care. Otherwise, whatever…….

Yup. Toker and Cooley better than Comrie is hyperbole. And Comrie ain’t going nowhere unless either 1. We have a goalie that wins the #1 spot outright or 2. The roster gets fully healthy and we absolutely need the roster spot.

Agreed. The tank started when suffering was announced, but the malaise def started around the Miller-Lucic incident. We were exposed as frauds then, and never recovered our reputation.
