Again, what is the source for the full list of NHLers that have had this procedure done?

Where would someone find a comprehensive list of NHLers that have had the same surgery Kane underwent? Serious question. I’ve seen posts indicating that 3 or 4 recent players that underwent the same procedure retired shortly after. How many players are we talking? And how many were in serious decline not related to the surgery?

Agreed. Noone is going to offer EDM an offer they can’t refuse. It will be a more Eichel like scenario where the situation in EDM becomes untenable and they are forced to shop him, and the return will reflect that. What would be interesting is whether EDM decides to go youth rebuild, or collect a different, ready to win core to take a shot with. I suppose the right trading partner might entertain a LaFontaine for Turgeon type deal.

I think the reason Olofsson has fallen so far out of favor is because Granato is trying to install a system that Olofsson just isn’t well suited for. He’s been productive, if limited, when the team wasn’t so fast break in style. I wouldn’t be surprised if he got back to his past levels of production in a system that was more deliberate.

This isn’t necessarily accurate. Sometimes symptoms are delayed. I’ve seen it personally.

I’m betting that 95% of those 78% were local town/village council or school board type positions. You should run.

Clearly the value has been set for the two equivalent top of the 2015 draft players at Tuch, Krebs, and lottery tickets. Surely Draisaitl can’t be worth any more than a late round goalie prospect, and a first round pick.

Pretty much passes the eye test. If ever our defense needed to know where on the ice to prioritize shutting things down, this should show it.

Do you expect the opposition to score when they come in on a short handed break? I do. It’s damned near automatic. The D has tightened up somewhat and the results reflect it. The goaltending hasn’t really tightened up though.

Narrative? WTF is that? Do I have a story to tell? Do I have something to be gained by being concerned that we still need to carry 3 goalies on tje roster? Lame.

And the lack of consistency with the other two goalies prevents it. That assumes a set order to the rotation. It could readily be more of a “all three will get their share of the load” situation without a defined rotation.

None of the 3 have been consistent enough to depend upon. That is a problem.

This was inevitable. It was apparent to me that the 3 headed monster was the plan all along because the team did not have the confidence in their goalie situation that they indicated publicly. They leaned on Levi early to see if he was up to the #1 role, but didn’t commit to it and risk losing a goalie to waivers. They found pretty early that Levi isn’t ready for it and now it is a rotation for as long as it takes to determine if 1 goalie is capable of being a starter. My bet is none of them establish themselves as a starter before the trade deadline. We all knew this goalie group was a risk when the plan is playoffs. GM and Coach are now doing what they can to mitigate that risk. Another season in goalie purgatory. What sucks most about this is the team could REALLY use that roster spot for a vet middle 6 forward right about now.

Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
