  1. Something, something,..complete teardown needed, something.... Perfect.
  2. This sounds like something I would have posted.....
  3. Close. You need an attention--ish flame out too.
  4. I didn't think you were saying that. I was just expanding a little. Someone told me recently there are rules about these things. :P As for your 2nd point, I sure HOPE we'll be better next season. If the roster turns over 50%, we'll never know which changes were the ones that were key. Not that it matters. Better is better when it is all said and done. I don't feel a need to identify the key changes that affected it as long as the team is consistently entertaining.
  5. Nash score two and injures one of our guys with a BIG hit. Because Buffalo.
  6. Yeah, and I don't know what to make of that either. Is Kane the reason why Buffalo wasn't better? I'm doubtful. Same with Atlanta. And the Winnipeg team it became. The current iteration of Winnie looks nothing like the team that initially moved there. Admittedly, that does include Kane. It's certainly possible though. I still think we are hard pressed to say we'll be better with a skill set somewhat diminished compared to all the rest of that post, AND still having Kane's skills on the roster too.
  7. I honestly don't understand this logic unless we are willing to apply it to everyone on the roster. Cuz we ain't won with 3 seasons of Jack either. I think the goal is to improve the talent level of the team, and Evander has a relatively rare talent level. I doubt we get an even level of talent back, let alone an improvement, when Kane is moved along.
  8. Don't know anything about Lindgren, but the 1st will be in the late 20's, and those other two are JAG's. and Nash is well past his best by date. Interesting trade.
  9. Disgusting accusation. Changes my opinion of him, frankly.
  10. It seems most teams "forget" he's on the ice on a powerplay. That's what truly elite players do. That is what makes Ovi, Ovi.
  11. Holy cow. I gave up on them winning that game when TO went up 4-2.
  12. All the time! Buffal..... oh Edmont....hm Toront.....nope Island.....huh Colorad.....damn
  13. Totally agree, but Darcy communicated it directly to the fans and rationalized it. Until then, those sort of moves were spun instead of rationalizing it.
  14. I'm not sure it was designed to encourage tanking. The league story was they implemented it in response to Ottawa's tank for Daigle. I think teams have learned that it can be gamed though.
  15. I'm guessing a JAG and a hope. So, downgrade.
  16. Tanking has definitely increased in frequency. In my fanhood I remember Pittsburgh tanking to get Mario, Quebec for Lindros, Ottawa for Daigle. And that was it. There weren't obvious tanks other than those. And those teams were lambasted by fans around the rest of the league. Now, so many teams have participated in it that it has become accepted behavior.
  17. This board was never so consumed about returns on pending FA's prior to the dismanteling of the franchise. It is a result of the lead up to, and the tank itself.
  18. I’m talking about sitting the guy, not trading him. WTF posts are you all reading?
