  1. Remember the concerns re: Skinner were that he might not mesh well with Jack because he needed to have the puck. I’m unconcerned about TT and Jack. If he’s ready Development-wise, they’ll figure it out.
  2. Agreed. Longer days can't pile up fast enough.
  3. I thought I had a well above average vocabulary. I had to look up bespoke. I've started getting alot of stuff tailored as well. I blame my off balance physique.
  4. Shush you. He's got a narrative. Hey, I see why people do that now.
  5. My point is, it doesn't matter how stupid or disinterested the populace has become. The populace isn't able to make a choice anyway. Those choices are filtered long before the populace ever has a shot. Noone in a position of influence is going to allow the changes to affect a real difference, so any want fo rchange won't matter. At this point the only possibility for real, actual change is the event you hint at, which won't happen as long as the populace is comfortable enough to not want to participate in the event. Our government has become very skilled at making sure we are just comfortable enough.
  6. If he’s got Paladino’s endorsement, I’m going full tinfoil hat with this guy.
  7. I am also unworried about losing Skinner. Such a change of feeling.
  8. We don't have any other center options. We have plenty of options at wing. I think JBott made a mistake in judging Casey's readiness.
  9. I dunno. I'm pretty sure I've been publicly ambiguous regarding why I left every job I've ever left. Smack Jack's pusher, eh?
  10. Boom?
  11. "Nefarious" used twice within 20 minutes in separate threads. Keeping NHL chatter above a 3rd grade reading level...
  12. Are there anymore? The Supreme Court is built to suppor tthe will of the right. The right portion of Congress is dominated by the Freedom Caucus who is only interested in a hard line agenda that the Supreme Court is built to sway towards. And the President has the full support of the Freedom Caucus. There has been a noticeable consolidation of power. It's even happening on the state level where incoming governors of the wrong party are being hogtied by legislative changes that reduce their authority moments before they take office. We're in the midst of a takeover. Book it.
  13. I wish I could get back to where I believed this. The system is closed to us. We don't get to pick the candidates. They are chosen by a relative few power brokers based on their ability to raise money. The campaign finance system ensures that our voice is not the voice that is paid attention to. And gerrymandering assures that parties in power stay in power, and that divisive politics remain the rule, not the exception.
  14. Wow. I'm in full agreement here. That doesn't happen often. Other than maybe the Jack on smack thing.
  15. I think Sam is pretty negatively affected by teams that play heavy as well. It's the only criticism I have of him TBH.
  16. What am I seeing here?
  17. Why assume the worst? People leave jobs for non-nefarious reasons every day.
  18. Only if I am included in the bourbon-y portions.
  19. I think we’ll get away with it in the regular season but it will be very evident in the playoffs. There. I said it.
  20. Seems like quite a few seen-Billy-Joel-multiple-times people replying. Add me to the list. From my perspective there are two reasons to choose the concert over the game. 1. A chance to go with Mom is always a good reason, and 2. Billy Joel is damned near a sure thing for getting your entertainment money’s worth.
  21. Great observation.
  22. Really liked the pace in the first two periods. And really liked TTs game. Sam did a nice job playing set up guy from the wing. That might be a good role for him. Casey...... every once in awhile the kid shows some real flash. I hope it comes together soon. He’s hot the skills. Ill say it, Sobotka looked OK moved up in the lineup.
