Finished up a pretty good sized project today. Had to make a Home Depot run. Today was the first time I became genuinely angry at the people around me. About 25% of the people in the store were maskless. Ridiculous. I gor fed up enough that I finally made a comment in the checkout line. Mr. Maskless in front of me didn’t respond. Arrogant SOBs that find their convenience more important than public safety. Just go out and about wearing a T shirt with a big middle finger on it, because you’re basically doing the same thing when you go into enclosed public places without a mask. FU too.

It was an incredibly discouraging event to see. If you haven't seen it, you're better off. I've lost faith in the humanity present in this country. Too many people that just want to make sure things burn.

I get you ? So, I occupy this weird space where, I'm a gun guy, but I hate the gun culture and the automatic far right agenda that goes with it. I mention this because of the political implications of mask wearing. I was in a gun store today. Not a single person, employee or customer, was wearing a mask. And they looked at me like I had 3 heads when I walked in with a mask. I considered leaving and taking my business elsewhere, but let's face it, in that line of business I wasn't going to find another location that would be in compliance with the mask requirements. WTF people. It's a health related issue, not a political one.

The most recent Ken and Karen incident leads me to believe this will only get worse. That is now two very public (and uncontested) incidents with armed white people brazenly challenging authority and folks that disagree with them. I don’t think a change of President will slow down that ball that has started rolling. I don’t think this ends well.

He lost me after justifying two rookie centers in the lineup.

And its only happened a handful of times in the modern era, and after each instance the rules were tweaked to further disincentivize it. If it takes a #8 team getting the 1st overall pick to end tanking I’m all for it.

Well, that went sideways. If I understand Claude correctly, all he is saying is, the data re: masks is still being collected and evaluated so no firm conclusions should be made, BUT based on what has been observed so far, wearing masks appears to make sense as a reasonable deterrent to virus transfer in casual contact situations. Or thats what I want Claude to be saying. Either one.
