  1. When Vancouver wouldn’t bite on the Aube-Kubel for Petterson offer KA floated, this was inevitable.
  2. The rest of Winter will be pretty bleak for fans of Buffalo sports teams. This was the most entertaining Bills team in my memory. Hopefully changes made in the offseason are for improvement, and not filling holes due to losses.
  3. Just a 3 game winning streak away from trending upward.
  4. Inky is talking to himself again.
  5. None of them should be off the table. Show me the players coming back and lets talk.
  6. Why do people on the internet have to read things that aren’t there? I didn’t say whether I endorsed it or not. I didn’t provide my opinion on Tage Thompson. I merely predicted that if the deal happens, Tage is part of the deal. Sort of LaFontaine for Turgeon lite. 1C for a different 1C. Vancouver is in win now mode. They aren’t accepting picks or prospects as the main deal components. I doubt they knowingly downgrade at center by accepting Cozens as the primary Buffalo component. I think it is going to take a player that is of Thompson’s stature to pry Petterson from Van. So that is my prediction, if Petterson is traded to Buffalo, Thompson will be going the other way.
  7. It’ll be Tage Thompson moving out if it happens. Book it.
  8. If the rumors about Millers personality are true, it wouldn’t be long at all before he became a real problem in the room. No way his personality would shine on a team so ill equipped to win.
  9. The beginning of the year rosters make it plainly clear they are not committed to winning, I don’t care what KA says in an interview. ”and if you are going to be bad, may as well be xxxxing bad”.
  10. For those on Reddit, there is an interesting thread on Ted Nolan’s most recent book. He had some pretty damning things to say about the way he thinks Pegula is running the team. He talked about the futility of playing green players without enough veterans and claimed Pegula once told him, “if you are going to be bad, be xxxxing bad”.
  11. The counter to that is, FEMA are subject matter experts for disaster management. By moving it to the states we now have to develop 51 subject matter expert teams to handle, making the overall cost to the country higher. Each state will have to fund leveling up their game to account for no federal response. even states that historically have low need for federal response will need to up their budgets significantly for the “just in case”. That’s pretty inefficient overall. I don’t really have a strong opinion regarding FEMA beyond the economy of scale to having a national organization expert at disaster response.
  12. Close enough to a “yes” for me.
  13. So, it is your position that when he said he couldn’t reimburse you, he was bluffing? And him paying you out of the register after you got in his face and became belligerent (berserk, I believe is the word you used to describe your behavior) is evidence of that? When his drawer didn’t balance at the end of his shift he almost certainly had to take cash out of his pocket to pay it back. Good job, you. You sure showed that malingering clerk a thing or two about something he had no control over.
  14. The answer to Your question is in the sentence immediately following the one you highlighted. He’s not allowed to reimburse from station funds, so expecting him to reimburse you means doing so out of his own pocket.
  15. That’s where I’m at. I just gonna enjoy the ride.
  16. He’s a clerk. He’s likely not the owner. Did you really expect someone making minimum wage, baby sitting a window to pay you back out of his own funds? I guarantee you he had been told by whoever pays him to not reimburse for the air machine. You have a beef with whoever operates the station, not the minimum wage worker manning the window.
  17. FTR I had the same thing happen to me at a gas station air pump about 4-5yrs ago. Got the same answer when I asked for a refund. My response was “well that sucks, getting gas here used to be convenient”, and I left. Getting in some persons face that has no control, no say, and no responsibility is a dick move. I now have a pancake compressor in my garage.
  18. Its a vending machine outside of a gas station hut. Its no different than any other vending machine outside of a service provider. The service provider has no relationship with the vending machine company, other than the rent they receive from them. This is the new normal that isn’t that new.
  19. Whatever, boomer. 😂
  20. I don’t know thst he’s a downgrade, but $2M/yr is the fine for being a crappy hockey team.
  21. Yes, you were the *****. For the reasons Stoner adequately described. And you didn’t attempt to pay for air, you attempted to pay for the use of an electro-mechanical delivery system. Try using your mouth to blow air into your tires and see how effective it is. You are incorrect. I have experienced the same. Gas stations don’t own the air dispensers anymore. They are basically vending machines owned and operated by another company.
