  1. JFC I got nothing else. JFC And I am listening to the portion related to the Tage hit. Again, JFC Gilbert didn’t get a shift after the Thompson hit? How does that happen?
  2. It’s impossible. No other team can do it. What’s a GM to do? I guess we have to wait for the playoffs until we develop one. /S
  3. And therein lies the risk of a rebuild solely focused on the draft. Excellent word crafting btw.
  4. I am so conflicted here. I am so conflicted here.
  5. I think what he really wants is the #1PP defenseman minutes so he can get all those sweet, sweet stat padding points. Which turns into money, which is your primary point. That can happen here if the coaching staff decides to think for themselves and put 2D, 3F on our powerplay.
  6. Frog legs for dinner at Indabuff’s house!
  7. You completely wiffed on my use of the word defensive.
  8. Every move this offseason was from a defensive perspective. JJP trade was a move made defensively. The other, smaller moves were all about cap space to avoid a Byram offer sheet. Arbitration itself was a defensive decision. You can’t make progress if all you are doing is parrying threats in front of you.
  9. You don’t consider Quinn a big question mark?
  10. So they have an executive assistant, and a senior advisor to the executive assistant. 🤦‍♂️
  11. I was so waiting for the Stretch Armstrong part of the story.
  12. See, you have more left than you thought. Best I could come up with was Rubber Man.
  13. It is being discussed in the Matthew Fairburn thread.
  14. Were you concerned that the team not improving wasn’t getting enough scrutiny? 🤣
  15. Today I learned……
  16. I think you are forgetting how pessimistic I was about Casey Mittlestadt . I always found him to be occasionally dynamic, and frequently disappointing. Given we had an emerging Tage Thompson and Dylan Cozens, I am more than sure the allure of a prototypical 3rd line center would have been plenty of motivation for me to have optimism regarding a deal like that one. Edit- I would have likely expected the return be McLeod +. I am not sure what plus would have made me happy to move the better offensive player though.
  17. Back when we all thought Cozens was gonna be something? I’d have taken that trade all day, every day. Then again, I was never bullish on Mitts.
  18. Thx. Regarding “another fall”, 2 Summers ago I went down much harder at a slippery boat ramp and broke and displaced my tailbone. There is no surgical procedure with good outcomes for that. I live with that one every day.
  19. This is what whisky is made for. On day 1 of our vacation I took another fall on a boat ramp. No hospital visits or anything, but my foot, knee, and right hand are still messed up. Its not vacation over, but sure did throw a damp towel over it.
  20. Buy did we clear up the panini issue?
  21. It’s a brutal story and there is obvious trauma on Linus’ part. Look into it. Don’t be a dick.
  22. I agree. I realize there is a star a couple yrs out likely at the top of the draft, but Robertson is a star now, and even if you finish last overall, the odds of getting that star is, what, 25%? Robertson is pretty much what the rest of the first round will have as a target for performance. This team needs the fully prime elite talent, not a new timeline for KA to follow.
  23. It isn’t how I phrased it. It is how Linus phrased it. He said directly that after his dad died he needed to make some changes in his life, including the team he played for. You are disregarding his own words, essentially saying he lied about why he took the Boston offer over Buffalo’s match. To me its pretty simple. Ullmark has never given us a reason to doubt his honesty, and he said very candidly and directly that his decision to move on from Buffalo was related to the emotions he was feeling following the death of his father. This surely doesn’t seem like an instance where it is more complicated than what is on the surface.
