  1. We'd need to know why he's being terminated before I'd even think about bringing Perry here with even more youngsters.
  2. Frankly I don't think it has anything to do with Detroit's start vs Buffalo or anything akin to that. Its entirely about Debrincat. Kane will end up playing for 2 other franchises outside Chicago, NYR and DET; both of which had former full time linemates he played with in Chicago and thrived with. Panarin in NY Debrincat in DET If Kane wants to prove he can still play at a high level, it makes sense that he'd want to play with a familiar player he previously had success with and in a sense owes him gratitude. Kane helped put Panarin on the map to which he ran with; Debrincat doesn't get the contract he has now without his multiple years with Kane on diminishing Hawks teams. The hope for us is that not only does he burn out but takes out Detroit's 1st line in the process. After all, with the Rangers, Panarin overtly tried forcing Kane into offensive play and it hurt their team overall. Literally the 1st two games he played with the Rangers I watched Panarin attempt some absurd passes to Kane even when he had zero need too. Hopefully Debrincat is the same way.
  3. Levi will get some solid growing time.
  4. From a hockey standpoint it doesn’t move the needle in the slightest. On a personal Buffalonian angle it sucks because it would of been fun to see the hometown kid help our team. overall it just angers me that he went to a division rival and even if he burns out he’ll likely score against us.
  5. I can’t put Rossi ahead of Quinn since Quinn has 2 full AHL and 1 NHL season in him whereas Rossi has not anywhere near that.
  6. The first answer is by far the best and hilarious.
  7. One can honestly argue that is truly the sign of a young team. A literal enigma of games that make zero sense
  8. Not quite right Joker has been good this year Clifton has been a swing and a miss but wasn’t a bad try to bolster the D. He kicked tires and if they were flat or ridiculous you can’t make that move. Krebs had seemingly begun to round into a solid 4th liner with Okposo and Girgs but seems to have a mental block where he overplays with skilled players but is let down by his lesser line mates on the 4th line. Jost is a JAG but familiarity helps him over other JAG level players. Olofsson is a very great, 1 trick pony who fits the Hoffman type to a T. When Quinn got hurt he held onto Olofsson likely because his value sucked and felt the cost to bring in a new guy was higher than the value he could get from Olofsson. Probably wrong but from a purely asset look it makes a little sense.
  9. If anything we need to find a way to acquire a guy like Lindholm from CGY without self immolation. Also let’s try to go get Dickinson from Chicago or the like to just be an older more seasoned guy than Jost. Jost is a great guy but is just another guy.
  10. I wish we had some roster space to bring in vets that wouldn’t displace Quinn or Peterka. Simultaneously the only spots open would be where the other vets are in Okposo and Girgs. So it feels almost a waste and detrimental
  11. There is a bit of what 13 said. We have to overpay the average overpay to get UFAs and most that are interested are on the other end of their career. The Chychrun thing also showed evidence of issues acquiring players due to excessive demands by other teams due to us having multiple prospects.
  12. Gave an excuse list referencing Levi, Benson, Kulich and Rosen’s inexperience
  13. Rough night all around, I just can’t wrap my head around why not one team build, GM nor coach can get the Sabres to play hard for 60min for a majority of a season. We’ve changed our player strategy multiple times and yet no change.
  14. Wings are a literal enigma; their "good" signings last year were a trainwreck and their "bad" signings this year have been solid.
  15. Also liked the fact he mentioned once they started going he couldn't hear any Pens fans anymore and could hear Sabres fans; even the ones at home. Then mentioned how ticket prices aren't always affordable for fans. I have honestly never heard a player say something like that before.
  16. It doesn't matter, if that were the case than there'd be quite a few other teams that would never bounce back. Ottawa being an easy one seeing as they had a worse owner. Edmonton is a literal mess and has had two awful GMs and through pure luck got McDavid. By now we should of at very least fell backwards into the playoffs by dumb luck alone.
  17. This team is just cursed…. There is literally no other explanation because even bad teams with bad owners stumbled into good luck at times. We have perpetual bad luck with everything. Muel flubs a pass they score, Dahlin, who has played well, fans a pass and immediately they score. We could shoot 100 pucks on net and we’d score 5 times. Everyone else would get bounces and/or help and get 10 to 15.
  18. What has happened to Samuelsson over the years, he went from a stalwart Dman with a cobra stick to looking mediocre at best
  19. Starting to feel like either Bryson has dirt on the front office or Adams is utterly petrified of even sending Levi down on paper.
  20. Definitely feels like they are unsure what to do in regards to Ryan Johnson; he's certainly NHL capable but they value Erik Johnson's veteran presence, analytics be damned. Unlike some of you, I don't see Erik Johnson as some sort of detriment; he's far from perfect but he also certainly brings an element of savviness to his game to help make up for some of his faults. Benson is a Catch-22, if we keep him he won't be physically ready but still effective. If we were to send him back our team would be likely weaker and that would be a further detriment to our playoff aspirations.
