  1. Glad to see there was at least some fight in them by the end but it wasn’t anywhere near enough. I really am at a loss as to what we can possibly do to actually get somewhere. Even if you fire Granato due to team under performance it doesn’t necessarily fix anything. Plus I have zero confidence in any trade or signing actually ever going anywhere. You trade Cozens for McDavid… Cozens bounces back immediately and McDavid breaks his leg and pulls his Achilles twice in his remaining contract years. Honestly that is how it feels. Whatever we do is going to either bite us in the back and/or disappoint us in the front. I know Thorny wants to claim it’s all bad management but even bad management stumbles into success. We haven’t even had that!
  2. Unsure why’d they start him the night after a SO Win where he made 38 saves.
  3. If you don’t sign on promise you end up with Dahlin’s AAV.
  4. Kind of just feeling like giving up, honestly I have never seen a team have so many players magically fall off a cliff for inexplicable reasons. What in the world has happened to Cozens? His bubble hurt his ability to stick handle but now it seems his motor is on idle. What happened to cobra Muel? He’s literally withered away. Aside from Dahlin and Benson the team is flatter than a pancake. Granato is a great guy but we may need to bring in another coach if we hope to find any path to the playoffs yet again.
  5. Robert Esche has lost it! I miss those days of greatness, vets playing at their peak, rookies immediately fitting in and an uncanny ability to win.
  6. Presently too many teams are in the race and the ones not in the race aren't holding goalies of value.
  7. Again, we can buy things but if there's no store to buy from its a mute point in terms of goalies.
  8. Frankly I have no idea how to interpret this game. UPL had a rough night but the D did him little in terms of favors The team came back from down 3-0 to make it 3-3 Then blew the tie back to 6-3 Score a goal late to make it 6-4 and pour on the pressure. One could easily argue the Sabres were the better team yet we lost. A true enigma, onto the next one.
  9. Guys, there are zero #1 goalies available at this time. The only team willing to trade would be a division rival in MTL and teams with the same or worse goaltending.
  10. Power needs to learn when to play it safe. Feels like we’ve been the better team but the Blues have been more efficient
  11. Well after all that we are no less behind than per 1 to per 2. Score some more in the 3rd and at minimum get a point.
  12. For a game we are down 3-1, it didn't feel like we were being kicked around like with NJ
  13. Hamilton isn't truly Leafs or Sabres country; its more a no man's land.
  14. We'd need to know why he's being terminated before I'd even think about bringing Perry here with even more youngsters.
  15. Frankly I don't think it has anything to do with Detroit's start vs Buffalo or anything akin to that. Its entirely about Debrincat. Kane will end up playing for 2 other franchises outside Chicago, NYR and DET; both of which had former full time linemates he played with in Chicago and thrived with. Panarin in NY Debrincat in DET If Kane wants to prove he can still play at a high level, it makes sense that he'd want to play with a familiar player he previously had success with and in a sense owes him gratitude. Kane helped put Panarin on the map to which he ran with; Debrincat doesn't get the contract he has now without his multiple years with Kane on diminishing Hawks teams. The hope for us is that not only does he burn out but takes out Detroit's 1st line in the process. After all, with the Rangers, Panarin overtly tried forcing Kane into offensive play and it hurt their team overall. Literally the 1st two games he played with the Rangers I watched Panarin attempt some absurd passes to Kane even when he had zero need too. Hopefully Debrincat is the same way.
  16. Levi will get some solid growing time.
  17. From a hockey standpoint it doesn’t move the needle in the slightest. On a personal Buffalonian angle it sucks because it would of been fun to see the hometown kid help our team. overall it just angers me that he went to a division rival and even if he burns out he’ll likely score against us.
  18. I can’t put Rossi ahead of Quinn since Quinn has 2 full AHL and 1 NHL season in him whereas Rossi has not anywhere near that.
  19. The first answer is by far the best and hilarious.
  20. One can honestly argue that is truly the sign of a young team. A literal enigma of games that make zero sense
  21. Not quite right Joker has been good this year Clifton has been a swing and a miss but wasn’t a bad try to bolster the D. He kicked tires and if they were flat or ridiculous you can’t make that move. Krebs had seemingly begun to round into a solid 4th liner with Okposo and Girgs but seems to have a mental block where he overplays with skilled players but is let down by his lesser line mates on the 4th line. Jost is a JAG but familiarity helps him over other JAG level players. Olofsson is a very great, 1 trick pony who fits the Hoffman type to a T. When Quinn got hurt he held onto Olofsson likely because his value sucked and felt the cost to bring in a new guy was higher than the value he could get from Olofsson. Probably wrong but from a purely asset look it makes a little sense.
  22. If anything we need to find a way to acquire a guy like Lindholm from CGY without self immolation. Also let’s try to go get Dickinson from Chicago or the like to just be an older more seasoned guy than Jost. Jost is a great guy but is just another guy.
  23. I wish we had some roster space to bring in vets that wouldn’t displace Quinn or Peterka. Simultaneously the only spots open would be where the other vets are in Okposo and Girgs. So it feels almost a waste and detrimental
