How is this Risto's fault? -

Lehner had actually looked good, same goes for Eichel besides a bit of defensive shortcomings. They just look bad for the most part. Put Nilsson in for the 3rd and can someone please help Eichel, Reinhart/Risto has at times but God does he look like a man trying to pass to small children. -

Absolutely screwed out of 1 point, did we play great, not really except the 1st 10 minutes and the whole 3rd but to have two separate no goals be called is absolutely absurd. No two things about it. -

Des certainly makes up for his ineptitude on the ice with his personality. Just wish we could get the early 2015 season Des who at least scored. Hopefully you guys can add another puck or two to the tower after tonight's game -
Woohoo! What a game, Eichel seemed to come out in the 1st with a ton of energy (wanted a goal for the Eichel Tower Kid) but over did it to the point that he became awful for the next 20 to 30 min. Then he seemed to just settle in and play the hockey we know he can and went on to score a pair and help this team get an actual winning streak!

Great win, seems like this team is just young and going through the pains of such. Toronto may suck next year because of the Myers effect, laziness and other teams learning, for all we know :flirt: Eichel needs to learn how to tie up guys and play back to backs. Maybe its just the injury effecting stamina? Risto is not only a horse, but a Clydesdale with cybernetic enhancements :w00t:

They'll play valiantly, and by that I mean Risto and ROR who will be rather tired. 4-2 Loss more than likely.

O'Reilly throwing players off him like a RB, good Beating a divisional team, better Eichel getting 2 points, awesome A win with MODO practically exploding, priceless For everything else there's MasterCard. MasterCard is the official credit card of the NHL.... -
At this point I can't see us winning anything ever regardless. Our teams are cursed to forever be mediocre and when we dare to try and break said trend we either are made worse by injuries or are screwed twelve ways to Christmas. I honestly feeling like punching a ####### wall after this game. We have to beat Toronto, I'd take a 5-77 record with wins against the ####### Leafs and still feel better. ####, ####, ####, ####!!!!! #### Bylsma should be drop kicked out the door, and Murray should be told if he doesn't fix this mess he'll be swimming with the ####### sharks, and I don't mean the team.

We have 2 Sabres teams, one that's very good, and another that sleepwalks. We need to kill off the latter so we get the good team all the time.
-
I hope your mother gets well

Bieksa has a NMC so I wouldn't take him in any trade, due to the whole protection thing with the expansion draft. I'd take Stoner though.
-
This makes us worse. Hamilton isn't a 1D where as Risto is becoming a 1D. All the rest is merely window dressing. Cups require a strong D, and this trade proposal makes us no closer to that goal.

pretzel, I have eaten one pretzel every time I go to the arena. Including the prospect games and the draft.

That is Gorges. The tank teams did a number on him both physically and mentally and his knees have never been the same. Was a good trade regardless, MIN's 2nd we got in the Moulson deal if I remember correctly. He's a leader and a teacher, not so good as a player anymore but still not entirely useless. I'd honestly keep him as a 7th Dman if only Bylsma would stay with that. Then he could still be a locker room presence, and play a game occasionally and likely look a tad better due to the additional rest. But we all know he'll get 22 min again when he gets back and look burned out thanks to it. -
It would vary which team, I'd tend to have a bias towards the immediate only because we could use it to buy a defenseman from MIN/ANA/OTT etc that's being exposed. Detroit and Vancouver I'd gun for either 1st
-
I believe we did give him an offer, he wanted to go to Calgary because the #1 job was up for grabs.

Some deadline deals if we continue to sputter. To BUF Duclair, A To ARI Girgensons, Z Struggling youth for struggling youth. To BUF Luff, M 2017 1st round pick (LAK) To LAK Kulikov, D ($2,100,000 retained) At about 49% retained, Kulikov should be able pick up a 1st, and maybe a random prospect. That is if he isn't injured the whole month of January. This 1st is vital, since we'd use it to snag one of the Wild or Ducks Dmen. To BUF 2017 2nd round pick (WSH) To MTL Franson, C ($1,600,000 retained) Franson's looked better this year, and at just short of 50% retention he should be able to pick up a 2nd/3rd
-
For Reinhart to be a center we would have to make a trade for a winger, for instance Girgs for Duclair or else we'd have a strong middle with mostly mediocrity on the wings. For example: Moulson-Eichel-Okposo Duclair-O'Reilly-Foligno Kane-Reinhart-Gionta Carrier-Larsson-Deslauries/Grant at very least we'd have enough potential scoring to run 3 lines.

I feel bad for Gorges, you can tell at times he still can play the game mentally but his body just isn't up to it any longer. Just think of the McDavid game, that takes defensive skill to pull off. His problem is he started as an average skater and passer and as he's aged and recovered from leg injuries his speed has become all but non-existent, thus preventing him from skating with the puck a little more thus forcing him to pass it more frequently thus exposing his passing inadequacies. If we can make him the 6-7 guy we can survive his final year of his contract. Franson has never had speed, but has offensive skill. Contract ends at the end of the year. That's fine. Bogo has either little hockey IQ yet a full tool belt, or is so injury riddled that needing pain tolerance has lessened his reaction speeds. Kulikov has been disappointing, he's everything Pysyk wasn't. Physical, more of a risk taker, puck carrier. But yet prone to stupidity at times and thus not terribly reliable. I get the sense that he's distanced himself from his more conservative play in Florida that he'd been worked into. He trying to do too much and it shows. If we are out of the hunt come Deadline day I'd see if I can swindle a team into giving us a 1st for Kulikov and maybe a 3rd for Franson

Me, I could use the money
-
Cute, could of been better if they actually sang it. Risto looked so awkward while Lehner looked like he might kill the cameraman. Oh don't forget Bogo hitting the microphone at the end.
