Actually no, Juolevi and Chychrun both have the ability to make a push for a roster spot as well in terms of Dmen. And for sure they'd be near ready by next season. Nylander, Dubois, Tychuck, and Pujarrjari all are in a similar category aside from the last being a likely NHLer.

He's safe too, he earned Murray's respect by having the balls to go to his office and call him out for the tanking at 19/20. Risto is not too slow...... he isn't Karlsson but he also isn't Cody Franson which you seem to see him as. He's akin to Hedman or Shea Weber and seeing as GMTM loved Bogosian, I think Risto would fall into a similar category in athleticism.

I was meaning Keller at min is 2 years out, he's more 3 to 4 due to size
-
Nope Nope, not taking Keller at #8, he's high risk and high reward. I need a clean cut player at #8 this year. Not to mention Keller wouldn't be a Sabre for at minimum 2 more years.

An LAK blog said they'd give a 2017 2nd for Cody Franson, that would rock! If that were to happen here's what I'd do: I'd use #38 and one of the two other 2017 2nds to move up to 29th. Boston has 4 picks in 2017, 1,4,6,7 so they may be interested in recouping a 2nd and moving down seeing as they already have a pick at #32 With #29 I'd have much more of the ability to strike into the early 20's potentially to grab a guy who slid. #22 would be the most intriguing seeing as Winnipeg has 0 3rds and they may be willing to turn that #22 into #29 and a pair of 3rds and a 3rd next year. #8 and #22 wouldn't be half bad and we'd still have 2 3s, 1 4, 2 5s, 1 6, and 2 7s for diamond hunting

I'd want more than a mere sweetener added for Bogo

I'm going to Day 2 to get the experience since I'd rather watch Day 1 anyway -
That sounds awesome

The Heavenly Hockey League drafted Howe this year, may he rest in piece. Now his career may continue :) and he will be with his wife again :)
-
Ideal, we move up to 4 with Pysyk CBJ overshoots its trade value and merely drafts Brown, Puljujarvi falls to us at 4
-
Bogo + 2nd rounder and a 3rd for 4th overall If they really like Bogo, I could honestly see it. After all Edm fans are willing to trade 4th overall for Barrie straight up and Bogo + a 2 and 3 should come rather close in terms of value. OR Pysyk + 8th and a 5th rounder for 4th overall Then we could turn around and acquire a Barrie/McDoungh/Shattenkirk using #8 as the primary piece.
-
Juolevi is my choice if I got to choose from all 3. He fits what we need more than Chychrun does. That being said, if Bogo + a 3rd could get us Barrie, Chychrun would actually work rather well even if he becomes another Bogo. Bogo + Chychrun = bad, 1 or the other is fine. A defense with 1 physical guy who can skate well is better than one without that. If only Sergachev remains at #8, I think we take a forward like Dubois, Tychuck, or Nylander; I just doubt GMTM takes the Russian. Who knows though. 2nd Round I want Cam Dineen, get him! Regardless of the 1st rounder's position.

Could Girgs turn into Pavelski in a few years?
-
I wonder if GMTM is torn due to Sergachev. He literally screams GMTM type of player until you see he's a Russian

Bogo for Barrie I could tolerate, nothing more however

Wow, who would of thought I'm not doing that in a million years

Nope, I want my 2017 1st unless I have my socks blown off with someone who can step right in next year. Keller and most of the other prospects can't do that. In terms of moving back into the 1st I'd be tempted to trade up if Keller, Chychrun, or Bean were sitting there at about 20 overall, or Mcovoy or Jones were there at 28 overall but that's about it. 15. Wild -- too costly 16. Red Wings -- too costly 17. Predators -- too costly 18. Flyers -- too costly 19. Islanders -- too costly 20. Coyotes (from NYR) -- might be willing to 21. Carolina (LAK) -- unlikely to want more picks 22. Jets (from CHI) -- 2 1sts 1 2nd no 3rds, potential 23. Panthers -- 1 1st, 1 2nd(from VAN) No 3rds potential 24. Ducks -- 1 1st, no 2nds, and 1 3rd, potential 25. Stars -- 1 1st, no 2nds, and 1 3rd (from SJS), potential 26. Capitals -- 1 1st, nothing until 4th, serious potential 27. Lightning -- 1 1st, 2 2nds, 1 3rd, unlikely 28. Blues -- 1 1st, 1 2nd, 1 3rd (from WAS), maybe? 29. Leafs (from Pitt) -- Who knows 30. Bruins (from SJS) -- 2 1sts, 2 2nds (NYI and EDM) no 3rds, serious potential From 38.

Give him 7/8 years at 5.75 and call it a day. None of this 3 year bridge nonsense, all that will do is likely cost us a boatload in the cap and cost us other players. Myers does not equate with Risto. So don't be terrified to commit due to the last one being a failure. It would be a humongous blunder to sign him to a shorter contract, watch him explode and then have to pay him 9 or 10 mil a year along with Reinhart and Eichel only a couple years later. Risto is definitely a good Dman, at worst he's a #3 guy who 5.75mil would seem higher, but would be less so as the years go by and the cap eventually rises again.
-
3 x 4.75mil 34yr old winger, I'd give a 3rd for him. Mainly because he's a gritty playoff performer so even at 37/38 yrs old he'd still be useful since he fits in as a 4th liner. But I'd only trade for him if we get a Dman at 8
-
Maybe 5 interview the kid while other 20 try to distract him to test his ability to focus?
-
Too rich in my opinion for another RHD, and Bailey is a local so I'd never trade him barring ridiculous over-payment Girgs, Baptiste, Gorges for Barrie and #130 Then we'd have 3 straight picks in the 5th :)
-
But Zemgus  and then we'd have 5 RHDs and 1 LHD Replace Gorges with Franson (it could work since Franson is sort of Roy's type of PP Specialist who is a 3rd pairing guy with a bit of grit.)
-
But Zemgus is my favorite player
