  1. Duncan Keith and Hyjrmlsson, or however his name is spelled, certainly are up there.
  2. Jesus he was born on June 99th? :)
  3. So effectively it should say, you're Buffalo. Enjoy your skilled locker room cancer or trade him for rubbish. Oh and that ruins any hope of us getting a Dman because I'm completely unwilling to deal Reinhart+ just to get Hanifin
  4. Reinhart, Borgen, 8, 37, 55 for OEL, 23
  5. I'd trade Kane, end of story. I just don't trust him as a person. He is likely a problem child in the locker room and I'm unwilling to give a guy with his persona a large long term contract. The sad part to me is he's the player I've always wanted in terms of on ice style. Fast, hard hitting, eats nails and can score goals. Also I can't see us keeping him and Reinhart and I'll vote for Reinhart every time over Kane's questionable off ice stuff. I read on capfriendly that someone heard on the radio in Chicago the idea of Kane(50%) retained for Anisimov. And while we are desperate for D, I'd take that trade since I think he'd be a great LW for Eichel since he knows how to play with puck possessing speedsters and play D.
  6. I think he has a great camp, but Bots wants him to start in the AHL to many fans disappointment and by January he's a bit bigger and stronger and a Sabre. Similar to Guentzal's track
  7. If the 4th best forward and the 5th best dman is there I'm taking the forward or trying to trade down.
  8. MODO feeds the homeless and is a lucky charm for the Sabres and their AHL affiliate. I hope your Mom is doing better
  9. No, Letang while great is a walking cast at this point
  10. I think Risto can certainly be Seabrook+ not relying on a partner but not really supporting a pair by his merits alone either. If we need a vet Dman, we need one to teach him how to conserve energy and position himself better. Plus reduce his taxing TOI to a bit more reasonable levels.
  11. Aside Condon who's a solid backup I'd have zero interest in any of them unless they'd pay us and they only have 1 year left
  12. To LV: Ennis, Girgensons & 3rd Round Pick To BUF: Expansion Player = Bogosian/Moulson, and a 5th rounder Vegas gets 2 guys who have preformed very well when 1st line key characters and a 3rd
  13. 7th D or buried, no buyout needed
  14. Risto's offense is definitely on the way to becoming Norris worthy, his D however needs work in order to truly become an "elite" dman.
  15. Bury Gorges this year and Moulson next year, problem solved.
  16. I'd take the trade to 12 as long as the asset was useful for this coming year. I wouldn't trade down to 26/28 regardless of the offer because I want the playoff next year not in 2 or 3
  17. I certainly hope you are wrong since in that case next year will probably have a very similar roster to this years
  18. Unless we have an internal cap again, I want Darcy no where near our front office
  19. Like the 1st trade, still disinterested in Vantenen though. Rather go after the cheaper Trevor Van Reimdyke
  20. USA won over Italy 5-2 Eichel had 1 goal and it was early. He had some other nice chances and created a lot but ended with just the one point. Canada beat the Swiss 4-1 O'Reilly wasn't on the score sheet.
  21. If tanks is bad then what the hell did we do to deserve what happened in '99 or Drury/Briere or any of that I honestly just don't see tanking as morally wrong hence no reason for there to be bad karma involved with it.
  22. Montreal is the counter argument since without an elite forward of any kind they have never truly been a Cup Contender. And elite players are almost exclusively at the top of the draft. Also Edmonton didn't tank, they were just incompetent and got very lucky. We attempted one of those fly up and stall tricks in the dogfight of hockey, we are just having trouble restarting the propeller. Edmonton got lucky and inadvertently caused their enemy's aircraft to fly into church steeple when Edmonton's plane was sputtering over some French town.
  23. Because that would absolutely #### any non-playoff team. It also makes the MLB trade deadline an absolute bore. Plus remember their franchises have so many random prospects that they can trade in an almost only player-based market. At the end of an MLB year they have a 40 man roster, 10 fewer than an NHL team can have in total contracts. An MLB roster hold 25 most of the time with 3+ minor league affiliates. The NHL + AHL has about 46 players. That's at minimum when including unsigned assets for an NHL team, about 65 players for the NHL teams to 100+ for a MLB team. Not to mention how long the MLB draft is, and their lack of a salary cap.
  24. Alzner, Williams, Boyle are the 3 non-Buffalo UFA's I'd be interested in.
