    Am I the only one suprised to see Reinhart leading the team goals, at this point? Always had him figured for more of a setup guy. An added bonus, to be sure.

    IMHO, the Sabres were always going to draft Reinhart, first or second overall. They needed fowards, and centers. It made sense for the Panthers to choose a d-man, given who they had in the system. It would've made zero sense for the Sabres to draft a d-man.

    I would, the man was absolutely clueless. He won a few trades early in his tenure, rode his reputation as a "great trader" ever since the Briere deal, and then drove the franchise further and further towards the bottom ever since. Apart from two seasons in which the rules were dramatically changed, his teams went nowhere without the greatest goaltender ever in net to carry them.

    I don't mind the physical, high intensity North American brand of hockey, but I absolutely freakin' detest the clutching and grabbing. It has NOTHING to do with hockey, neither the elegant or physical style. It's cheap, against the rules, and it slows down every damn game to a crawl, and it's so easy to call. Exhibit A : 2005-2007.

    Me too, and I often get guys mixed up anyway.

    I honestly think the only reason he gets players wrong, is that he's having trouble reading the numbers, which is to be expected.

    Unless the guy has learned how to skate since the trade, I'm really finding it hard to care. Yes, I thought his skating was that bad. He made Vanek look like Geoff Sanderson.

    Definitely not a fan of the Lehner deal either, I see him as backup material, maybe fringe starter.

    I absolutely love that play. Just because. The Wild score, but that goal is the last thing on Parise's mind.

    Euro leagues do this every game, it's not hard at all. Hell, if the Flyers were allowed to wear their black jerseys on the road against the Sabres, back in the day, I fail to see the problem. Watching those games on pre-HD TV was awful - Flyers wearing all black, Sabres in the white goathead and black pants.

    Man, the Jets intermission guys really letting Kane have it, calling him a potential 15-20 goal guy.

    Right about now, I'd say just staying home on game day would help.

    Not overly impressed with him either.

    Moulson, Kane and Gionta - The reason we're last. Granted, I never for a second thought this year would be a playoff year, but these guys have 16 goals between them, halfway through the season. If you were telling me, this was the grand total between Stafford, Ellis and Nathan Gerbe four years ago, I'd have believed you, but now? Pathetic, and inexcusable.

    Shutout, or bust! The way we're scoring, our goalies need to stay perfect.

    I have to admit, I think all of those guys are playing well, with the exception of Kane, who so far looks like he doesn't fit into whatever system we're pretending to play. Also, guys like Foligno, Moulson and Gionta just aren't playing at an NHL level, simple as that. Not sure how I feel about the D and goaltending, but I do know I'm not happy with basically half the forwards on this team.
