That was Darcy's version of it, Murray inherited a mess of a roster. Also, he inherited a franchse that had perfected an identity of losing way before anyone ever said the word "tank", and a franchise nobody wanted to come play for. And I agree, luck is a huge part of it. Not getting McDavid is one thing, but in all respect to Reinhart, tanking for the no. 1 pick, in a draft class where he's considered the best forward, just sucks altogether.

I do blame him for not having our best offensive player on the PP, though. That's solely on him.

I hadn't a clue as to what to think of Bylsma, so are you sure you got right guy here? I honestly don't remember having any bias towards, nor against him? Not saying I *didn't* want him, but if we're talking Cpt. Ron days, I'd have taken *you* as a head coach, so...

Somtimes the coach doesn't need to be *better*, he just needs to get more out of the current group of players. Which I hardly doubt is an insurmountable task, given the 5 on 5 production on this team.

Make no mistake, Bylsma on notice this season - Injuries or not, he either makes sure the team improves, or GMTM is making changes. The days of Status Quo are over.

Honestly, if this team can't do without Eichel sooner rather than later? They're not going anywhere. It sucks, but a sophomore player shouldn't be the deciding factor, if his team wins or not. Or at least not, the sole deciding factor.

Call me old-fashioned, but I really miss the days where arenas would have actual names, like the Aud, the Joe Louis Arena, Maple Leaf Gardens, etc.
