GDT: Carolina at Buffalo. 7:00pm EST 11/27/2015

Well, that would make sense, but what I saw last night was the Canes having us run around, we'd get the puck, fumble it, lose it immediately, then do the whole running around thing again. Absolutely infuriating to watch, and against a team that's not the Canes? Probably a certain L. -

One thing that stuck out for me tonight : We were running around in our own zone A LOT - Lots of times we got hold of the puck, only to lose it again right away. Very Sabres-of-old-like. -
More than 70% of the refugee stream coming to Scandinavia these days, are young men - Not many women and children amongst them, even though the media like to pain a different picture. Also, again more than half of these people are not Syrians. Syrian passports are a hot commodity on the black market, after Merkel announced that all Syrians would be granted asylum in Germany. A lot of these people don't speak arabic, so how can they be Syrians? Just saying, things are by no means black and white, in this case.

Hey dude, thanks for the insights. On a sidenote, my daughter goes to school with Morten Green's daughter, don't know if you remember him? Played a few seasons with MODO in the early 2000's.

Which is a very good point. People mock the blue puck today, but back in the day, watching hockey on TV in non-HD, everyone lost sight of the puck once in a while. It wasn't bad enough for me to wish for something like the FOX solution, though. I've been watching hockey my whole life, and I still lose track of the puck in HD, but mostly because the camera guy does, and has the camera track where *he* thinks the puck is at.

I think Bylsma should have the boys taking weird point shots on Miller, all through the 2nd period.

Certainly feels odd, to score a lot and have a load of talent, yet we suck in goal. Talk about things being upside down from what's been the standard here, the past 20 years.- 495 replies

Am I the only one who was pretty annoyed with Foligno's lack of backchecking on the second Flyers goal? Keep skating and take the guy in the slot, instead he just coasts in, and Schenn has an easy-tap-in. -
New year, tons of firepower, still cant score.

How DARE you critisise Lindy's "Let's have all 5 guys drop below the hashmarks, and let the points remain uncontested meaning if you don't clear or freeze the puck within 20 seconds you're dead meat in the 2nd period"??? Sorry, couldn't resist, but basically the above statement pretty much describes what I'm most happy with - No more 60 minute Alamo hockey. :flirt: -
A single look at the shot chart last night, will prove you're absolutely right. You don't win many games scoring a single goal, unless your goalie is Dominik Hasek, and the year is 1998/1999. Simple as that. If these guys ever learn to score, this team will start winning. It'll come.

By all accounts, Buffalo is a worse team - We were even crap enough to lose the lottery. Twice. Whether we'll be better than the Oilers this season, definitely remains to be seen. I know I'm splitting hairs, but until this team actually wins more than a single game, I'd say the jury's still out, on who's the better team.

No doubt he could've been handled better, but you also have to factor in why, to the surprise of a lot of people, he was available for us to draft. Chances are others saw exactly what he's currently becoming - A highly touted bust. But yes, Darcy handled him like an amateur.

I must admit, as much as the tank sucked, I think the truly lowest point came *before* the tank. Can't point to a specific moment, but watching the team deliver the same cramped-up, lackluster performances night after night, management and coaching making the same mistakes year after year while nobody seemed accountable for anything, was the absolute low point for me. At least the tank said "We need to change".

Classic. Never got to play the coin-up though, only ever saw it once.

Yup, lineup's looking good, except for perhaps on D where we're a little thin. Also, the goaltending is a little suspect. I got a Be a Pro career going, and one thing I'm absolutely loving, is that Chad Johnson has seemingly outplayed Robin Lehner for the starting job, even if Lehner has a better overall. In recent years, the game would just pick a starter, and give the backup every 5th game, regardless of performance :-)

Same same, I'm on X1, I'm happy with it - As opposed to the X360, it's 100% silent, and it does what it's supposed to. Aso has Blu-Ray like the PS4.
