Maybe we'll win 20 games next season, then :P No draft pick is gonna turn this team around, they need to start adding some legitimate players through FA, seeing as we have virtually nothing to trade with. What bothers me most, is that losing has become this team's identity, barring one or two flukey seasons, since Black Sunday.

God, that's an ugly lineup......... And yeah, Samson on the fourth line is a joke, at best he doesn't get injured, at worst someone busts his knee in a completely meaningless game.

My guess is Connor McDavid is contemplating quitting hockey right now. I would be terrified at the thought of the Sabres drafting me.

I sincerely doubt anyone could win with this roster. Yeah, being bad isn't new to this team, but like it or not - They had Miller in net, and while he might never win a cup, he's still a damn sight better than the two guys we're rotating at the moment.

I got a feeling his bosses probably didn't like that comment. If so, how will they react to his remark about "learning last week, that he cannot say what he feels"? I doubt Nolan's around come March, one way or the other.

I agree, someone needs to sit him down and show him tapes of John LeClair, from 1995-2000. I know he played with Lindros, but talk about making the most of what you got - LeClair had a mean shot that Foligno probably doesn't have, but the bulk of his goals were rebounds and tip-ins, after winning a board battle and getting the puck to someone else, so that he could go camp in front. Simplicity itself, and I thnk Marcus could become a 20 goal guy easily, if would adopt a simple power forward game. He's a better skater than LeClair, so he has that working for him too.

What I meant was, that Regier introduced "the tank" in his last year here, trading assets for picks, stating there would be some time of "suffering" as the team improved through the draft. This was after he realised he couldn't attract top players through free agency, regardless of TP's wallet, and incidently what finally got him fired.

My sentiments exactly. My question is, what's GMTM going to do to improve the team? I mean, he can't be of the same stupid opinion like Regier, that you can just tank your way to succes, can he? But, who are these picks and prospects going to play with, in order to develop? Good players need to play with good players in order to improve, and this team has precious few of those.

Wonder if anyone will be handing out toga-party invites afterwards?

I wouldn't get too comfy if I were him, I magine TP isn't having a whole lot of fun watching this, just like he wasn't having a whole lot of fun watching Regier's mess, last season. Different circumstances sure, but this team is beyond embarrasing.

Can someone get Rheinhart out of here then? If I were the GM, I wouldn't allow him within 50 clicks of the arena, there is ZERO positives he can pick up with this team, as it is.

We're lulling them into a false sense of security. Holy crap, I never saw this piss-poor passing even at a pro game, and when a pass randomly connects, it bounces off the recepients stick.

Some would say that "luck" had a lot to do with Bill Wirtz passing.

Even if this team lands McDavid, there's no way he lifts them from the basement, on his own. We have no goaltending anymore, our defense is suspect, and the less said of our so-called PP, the better. In other words, business as usual ;) What I'm really curious about, is how TM is going to approach improving the team, I doubt he's content with "improving through the draft", as a certain idiot GM so eloquently put it.
