Despite his appreciative persistent reping for all goalies; D4rk, I generally am for killing all goalies...as long as they are on the other team. Dont screw with my team's goalie, which can get you in line with audsmell on the other thread...
-
I understand from your perspective, but unless you think net size should be significantly increased this is the only alternative. I still play and have blocked a few slap shots in my day with not much equipment so going all game long i can understand your position. But there is a difference between protection and covering up the net with no holes. The current situation with pads is no longer safety but covering up holes which hurts the game imo.

Congrats hope they keep it going big turn around!

Ah, not sure Sabres feel that way, but could see Yotes having these demands.
-
And remind me why would Sabres make this trade???
-
??Why would we want better coverage if scoring is down. I am thinking less coverage unless you are talking about for your own protection. Imo cut pad width down to 8 inches wide, narrow the blocker to 8 inches too as well as catching glove. Ok then if length stays the same for protection of goalie. Its the amountof space combined with large goalies killing scoring.

OT: Should we vote Smell off the island?

I hear you, but for us old guys there still something so painful with above statement. I didn't feel that way after the 75 series when I was nine, but was already a hockey fan. hmm feeling some humiliation there... and old -

Yeh I guess you are right, drops head and sulks off. Was hoping to see a real live burning at the stake....:( -
If I had to choose Fowler because he is younger, but might be able to give up less for Endstrom, Sabres still need scoring so I wouldnt give up high end draft pick for either. Giving up Psyk and say Weber along with Enis might work but not sure, offense is still a work in progress, is it clear yet who is odd man out? Not to me.

Robert Heinlin's book "Time Enough For Love". Start calling Rick... Lazarus Long... I have heard Biron on Ranger broadcasts, not bad... more color commentator imo -
The hard part is diferentiating between those coming out of the area and Iding them v. those muslims who believe in their faith but willing to stand with others of different faiths. The area is so polarized its gonna take real leadership and there doesnt seem to be much anywhere right now

I don't like the ability of coaches to challenge offsides, goals are one thing... Offside challenges seem as others have stated ruins flow.

Darn missed the third's excitement taking a nap before overnite shift.... no comment on offsides but think its stupid to allow challenge for it. I am more interested in Eichel's weak offensive corner play. Is he worried about pissing off some knuckleheaded defensemen a la McDavid or is this his style, boy needs to learn how to hit on forecheck. Too many time other team's D has too much time and space against him imo. -
I hear you but the board especially and the pads at that point on top dont need to be that wide or even part of the pads, but could be separate part of undergarment and of limited width.
-
And the NHL knows this has studied ad nuseum and still done nothing... Make the equipment smaller and be done with it. This whole debate is such a stall tactic to actually taking some action. Next time someone complains about low goal scoring, the response should be the NHL knows what to do but wont, reduce pad size.

Its called ASAP or AA Kane's stuff bothers me seems immature but Richards should be banned from league for his illegal activities.

Cambell is a dinosaur, neanderthal, and clueless, he needs to step down and have someone younger with a vision to the future replace him.

There is a hall of fame on the harbour dedicated to him, spent my summers just north of there on one of the 30 thousand islands. worked for a commercial fisherman up there as a young teen, canoed and bushwacked North of Lake Nippising on lakes Tamigima and Wakimika as well as on the French River System. The Georgian Bay is beautiful and water still clean and Pike Smallie Wall Eye and perch fishing is awesome. Need to go back

I like stats too, but they dont explain matchups well, team v team why certain lines play against others, chemistry i suppose shows up in stats but it depends on which stats you look at. I miss Rick's call of Gilbert Perrault winding from behind the net or Robert flying down the wing or Martins wrist shot or Luce going in on a break and sooting it over top of the net, or Rammmer on the forecheck... Or Shoney leveling someone in front of net... I could go on..., painting a picture with his words as I listened to the radio under my pillow to avoid my parents detection.

Depends on the coffee, some of it crap, DD and most diner coffee is little more than colored water, I recommend Pete's Sumatra, and my favorite is Fog Buster by Pierce Bros a sweet Dark roast but not bitter. PS I drink it black if it is any good. Starbucks often is too burnt, but Pike's place not bad imo
