  1. Tank on... Getting closer to McEichel... Only 2 points back... Need Oilers to win or at least tie to make some progress in next game.
  2. You obviously never saw McAdoo play. On some bad teams he led the NBA in scoring for 3 years. He won rookie of the year and was sixth man on two LA Laker championship teams. Gotta include him in there with Gil. You younguns need to research your Buffalo sports history. When I was young all the talk was about Cookie Gilchrist. Didn't see him play so I am not sure. Agreed! Why I fell in luv with Buffalo sports in grammar, middle school.
  3. LOL, p.s. that is not a dandruff flake but dust on the camera's lens or sensor.... too out of focus for dandruff flake.
  4. Jocelyn Geuvremont is a better D name than Boxmeer imo. Playfair was just ironic.
  5. Sigh, yup this team is tough to watch with no players that can carry the puck up ice except members of an overwhelmed D. Just keeping an eye on the prizes McEichel and the rest of number draft pics. Last night was a very good win for the Carrion standings though.
  6. Like Armia's puck skills, still learning speed of game all game, but his puck skill are impressive.
  7. Sorry only my beer league team is aloud to carry that motto "Remember your an ICEHOLE, We Suck" No prospects allowed...
  8. Offensive and Mike Milbury, aren't those redundant statements?
  9. I am so loving this. If all the Sabres could play like Z, the Stanley cup would be in Buffalo this year. Keep it up.
  10. Sitting here in CT scan waiting for the next Patient from the ER and doing continuing ED physics... Dose Response models... yikes... no wait, I am not listening to the game only reading this board. Bleacher has a report out stating Myers likely gone shortly. No real destination listed though. Keep the tank going.
  11. My love is hurting to for both teams, especially the Bills. God they need a QB with an arm, vision and attitude. Sabres still have hope, but if they don't get a McEichel, it is going to a tough pill to swallow and I see some dark years to come... Dark I say. Doom and Gloom... straight out of Ghost Busters... Seriously though, it will be sad to suffer this much and then still have no hope. Sabres need some hope.
  12. Ok, now that the Sabres have won 2 in a row, I hope they quit this winning and get back the priority of the McEichel sweepstakes. Please just stop scoring. I can deal with 0-1 losses. Keep playing solid D.
  13. Wish I could send you my 29 inch Ariens snowblower to you.... Be Safe
  14. That is the one I was talking about in 2001 where my wife visited Buffalo for xmas for the first time. It was a doosy. Still not 1977. Stay Safe, looks pretty intense. For those who don't remember or were not born yet in '77. Buffalo had about 3 feet on the ground before the blizzard and then over about 5 days we got 12-21+ feet with sustained 50mph winds and gusts over 70mph. Needless to say ranch houses were buried that year and I could walk out my second floor window onto the porch roof and onto the snow. It was wild. Delaware park was used as a snow dump and ended up with 70 foot high mountains of snow that didn't melt till late June that year. Lots of people died on the Highways from Carbon monoxide, because they were unable to keep their tailpipes clear. Be safe and carry a shovel.
  15. Today, I was able to go up and back from Amherst, MA and then enjoy the game on my warm couch as my boys played mind crap on their ipads. Nice to see a win and solid D for the most part. Only wish Weber was a better skater and puck handler, jeez he battles hard.
  16. Agreed, both maybe in one trade to Detroit?
  17. Ah, good old Buffalo snow. I started my first paper route the day the Blizzard of 77 hit. We dug a fort in the back yard that you didn't have to pile up snow and could stand up in. The first year my wife came up to Buffalo, we drove from DC two days before x-mas and there was no snow on the ground. She was grumbling about it and said something sarcastic being an NYC girl. I said be careful what you wish for. Started snowing the next day and we got 5 feet before it was all said it done. Needless to say I got the last laugh. We get a little now that I am near Danbury, CT in the NY side of the border but nothing compared to the good old days. Grocery shelves empty. You guys are becoming pansies. Should already have enough stocked. Streets will be cleared in a day or two max. Folks must be listening to much tot he hype. Turn off the TV and radio once it starts and take the kids outside for some fun. Common Buffalo, don't become like the wimps in the South. I am so ashamed to hear this reaction.
  18. Yeh, I fell asleep after the hattrick too. Didn't see the third. Still like the D. The fact that Stafford is still on this team makes me sick though.
  19. McDavid hurt last night. Does that make it easier to draft him?
  20. The D didn't look so bad, no help from the forwards. I loved the Z/Risto pairing. They looked comfortable early till the wheels fell off and Gorges disappeared with injury. Z needs to get a little more comfortable with his game and the speed of this game, but in my mind he didn't get himself out of position. When it all comes together and he knows when to run someone over he truly will be a nightmare to play against. Weber is slow, Stachan not bad, I think Sabres could keep him. Still it is so obvious the Sabres don't have a single center who can skate and make plays. The offense is non-existent except for taking a couple outside shots and springing Girgs for a couple of nice breakouts. Tank on. Sabres need two McDavids. P.S. McDavid hurt wrist in a fight last night. Not sure of his status.
  21. Sabres don't need forward, they need high end guys who can play center. Rare commodity, but they need at least one. Remains to be seen if any of the above mentioned fit the bill. Sabres need a sure fire #1 center.
  22. It is sad, they haven't been able to get a bag of pucks for this cancer... If not for the Salary Cap issues, I'd say dump him now.
  23. Ah I think it is deeper than the usual crap. This thing is going down in Texas, the conservative healthcare model is being challenged by Ebola. On top of which, the Governor is in Europe courting foreign heads of state for a possible run at the Presidency while this is going down. Obama folks have been a agressively acting proactive if not a little late and government and private sector inefficiencies in healthcare are being exposed making everyone nervous about where litterally the ebola crap is going to fall and on who. Get your suits on... gonna get ugly I predict.
  24. Not a bad idea, still can't see myself signing up for NHL network this season. Will read the write ups on this board to keep track of things, but I am too busy to watch these guys suck. My only hope is that Nolan survives. I really like the guy. Deep breaths everyone else.... remember the tank is only a little past half over. Still have a lot of losing to do...
