And while coming out and saying we are tanking is honest, business wise may be an iffy strategy before the seasone, once it appeared the Sabres would suck the only rational fan option is to support the tank. if the hockey brain trust of the Sabres as it appears figured that out earlier, then so be it. But at some point though it may offend fan sensibility, going against the tank past December of this year brings into question in my mind your Sabre loyalty or in the very least your level of denial about this teams potential for success without tanking longterm.

I think you have an interesting thought in search of a problem. I don't think tanking if you have a bad team is a problem and people who say otherwise I question their loyalty to the Sabres. If tanking makes sense talent wise economically and commercially then I have no problem with it if it means future reward.

Most agree... the thing is everyone could see that this team was bottom 5 from the beginning of the year unlike the Leaves. So rooting for the top pick is understandable especially after the trade deadline when it became so obvious that there was nothing left to cheer for. Next year is a whole nother animal. Not saying they will make the playoffs, but the building blocks are available to start developing. Maybe one more top 5 depending on record and circumstance, but at least as others have said not this boring crap Sabres are calling professional hockey. Bull hockey, i wear my sabre hat regularly now knowing the future is not an oncoming train. Before I shook my head in disgrace because it was said train and I was tired of getting run over. Sabres suck right now, but at least the fans know they need to finish the job. so a little good natured booing of a team that sucks and so does their effort in this game at times the players need to suck it up and prepare for next year. If Weber is pissed at fans he has no one to blame but himself. P.S. Toronto fans are far less accomodating.
