  1. . I just realized if you zoom in on the eye in the Buffalo it is the Chinese Yin and Yang sign... No wonder Sabres are cursed.
  2. Orlov yes please but doubt Caps let him go..
  3. I am fine not spending the 8th pick on him, but one could argue he finally got his chance with Washington and shined, especially in the playoffs. Get him for as cheap as possible but based on what I saw he is more a 3-4 guy and serviceable 2 in a pinch. He was one of DCs best puck moving defensemen during the playoffs. As we have seen some of these guys just need the right opportunity to show what they can do. I say get him.
  4. You need to wait till next Thursday to make this post and another 40-80 posts, man up and grin and bear it. :) Its the off season, what else are we gonna talk about.... I am ok signing the guy and seeing what he has, it can't hurt... that being said if the evaluaters say no, than so be it.
  5. Fair enough on 8, but Schmidt is emerging, just saying make a deal. Trade a young forward, whatever... make it happen is all im saying He and Ghule would be a good future 2nd pair imo.
  6. Me neither, but they have a lot of forwards to protect so I guess, but seriously, if available, I'd give up the 8th pick for him in a heart beat.
  7. Interesting Washington's Nate Schmidt might be available. Thought he was one of DC's best puck carrying defensemen in the playoffs and seemed to come into his own. Have no idea of his age or contract, but interesting thought for the Sabres.
  8. Would need another forward who could grind and get back on D, thinking Carrier, but not sure.
  9. Maybe but with a change in management and a new coach, maybe that is enough of a fresh start. Just saying possible a good fa signing. He has talent and healthy could be a good deal for both. 1 - 2 years
  10. Sounds way too reasonable, but this is the NHL. Depends maybe done with a hand shake and a nod to try and make good for both teams. Its a small circle, so likely both scenarios may work since the circumstances may be different and beneficial to both.
  11. If those two gone Vilamaki seems good to me and has size.
  12. Ps love short Nat Shermans with blue label.
  13. Give me a good modero Ashton looks like rain this weekend too.
  14. That is how my eyes read title the first time had to do a double take lol
  15. made me hungry for some wings!
  16. So again lots of triple stripes..
  17. From a developmental standpoint it is interesting that you see a lot of guys on the back end being the best or near the best skaters on their teams. I watch a fair amount of high school and college hockey and I'm always amazed a how good relative to the rest of the team the top D pair usually can skate, even better than most of the centers.
  18. Was thinking the same thing... even a one year deal for Kuli to prove that it was his injury that slowed him down so much... I do think he will be much better next year... Back injuries are notoriously tough to come back from... But if he gets more than 1 year all the more power to him... I would not sign him.
  19. Sigh we used to collect milk carton coupons and go to Braves games sitting up there yeh they were steep but you could see everything.
  20. Awesome, now thats funny right there.
  21. Oof, if this an indication of the off season... its gonna be a long one...
  22. I hear you too and the analogy is a strategy, but I hate camping as much as I hate slow down games... it is boring like soccer in general. Though it is interesting the Senators imo can play both and seem to switch back and forth when they see an advantage... so imo they are interesting. If the Sabres team scored 4 goals in the first like they did, I could understand making the rest of the game boring... survive and move on...
  23. got it will you are fourth will keep you informed.
