I dont agree that he wasnt given a chance, he tried with Bogo and Kulikov and failed and over paid for Lehner. Johnson and Nillson could have been serviceable and the picks could have been used for D... I think he aimed high and was hoping Bogo and Kulikov solved the D issue. He swung for the fences but this was critical strikout at a bad time... At least he gave it go. Kulikov's injury really hurt.

This though Im not sure I want to give Up Kane, rather Sam... Kane has fire Sabres need, Sam is too affable... trade Sam for a D if one of the big centers are still available at 8. That being said with Ghule and Antpin coming as well as Austin appearing close to ready... I prefer to stay put, draft a D at eight and maybe trade some of those wingers for an up and coming D from another team. It may take good scouting to evaluate the other teams and find a good dance partner, so I could see Sabres staying put and looking for long run.

Good scout imo, as others have said, not so good in valuations... wish him the best... he might want to lay off the sauce a bit.

True but I used to listen to ESPN radio on certain days midday in NYC area, Steven A is on and I cant listen to him. Check FAN out sometimes but they are only about NYC

yeh except you need to pay cameramen, announcers and analysts so that would be the rub and to generate ad dollars.
