Jack Eichel Contract Extension: Talks Occuring
North Buffalo replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
His ankles have a weird uncommon side to side flex as he accelerates or cuts. Gotta use really hollow blades and ligaments really loose but strong. -
I can deal with 1, 59 is so outrageous with all wounded to so hard to fathom... kinda cant deal... especially since watching Pentagon burn from US Capitol windows... that stuff just cant deal. Petty I thought was great road trip music and will be missed.

Said heartattack yesterday, tried to keep him alive but he had no brain activity and was unresponsive. My favorite song though dark: Mary Jane’s Last Dance. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Mary+Jane%27s+Last+Dance+Tom+Petty&t=iphone&iax=1&ia=videos&iai=juD8GHvPULs

I think and JBots and Housley are working on the team systemand watching how he help Nashville, I too believe it will take some time. That being said he expiremented during the preseason as short as it was. Even training camp was short. Compared to football which had almost two months. The sabres have had training camp and preseason together to implement a new system. I may take another month plus to really get going. Bills struggled in the first two games too and went 1-1... Again I was wrong about the Bills so far hoping Sabres will follow a similar tract.

Glad I was wrong about them so far, defense looks great, O has a long way to go but TT is playing within himself and Clay has finally lived up to his billing. Hoping the O finds away to keep it going and some of the young receivers step up. But its early and who knows wont close the jury till its definite.

I live in the NYC area so despite having NHL, I get blocked on all Rangers, Isles, And Devils games plus NHl network and NBC because I only have internet... VPN is an interesting idea... need to think about that.

Agreed... good.

Been there done that and yes decompressing regularly is important especially if no medical reason such as a hiatal hernia or gird... Im 53 still work hard but I take breaks from it all, do physically active stuff and meditate. Was always told you have take care of mind sole and body. When I get lazy with one of those I often pay for it. Hope you feel better.

Getting beat again, Siemen under performing... his run is over i guess... :(
-
That’s how I remember him... the bigger the game, the more fearless, always amazed his body held up for as long as it did.
-
He had a nastier attitude, would just assume slash someone or check as drive to the net. Could take over a game with pure grit.
-
Two things come to mind, post Perrault my favorite player has been Datsyuk, he was so lethal in clutch moments with a quiet assassins style. He and Zetterberg were something else... That being said, at this point I dont care how they get there, just win baby!

Keep them away from Gorges...

nice... guy at shoprite in Bedford behind cheese and meat counter was from North Buffalo. Not quite the same level but still decent!

Nice thoughts. My only wish was that in hindsite, the Sabres kept Briere and Vanek... Drury was gone, it was known that he wanted to go the NYR... Darcy dropped the ball on Briere and then scrambled to sign Vanek... short of this, the Sabres would have been in default full on tank mode back then and he would have been fired right away.... should have been anyway at that point... I am in the keep Larry camp... hence my bias... but I think his talents showed last year with Foligno and the Sabres sorely missed him... good passer, underestimated skater... though an awkward style and love his grit and sandpaper... He is everything a third liner needs to be... he has hands and is a good passer, good forechecker... I just don't see the Sabres having anyone to replace his role.

Blues rumored to have signed Scottie Upshall, per bottom of same link above..

Picked up some Rochefort today for the steaks I have for dinner....mmmmm goood!

Training camp questions #14: who will surprise us?
North Buffalo replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
True, this I agree with... if not... worth a looksey... Non of the young Sabres are stepping up... And if the Sabres don't take a step forward this year... it will a least be entertaining hockey as they learn the new system and there is a lot of talent coming out next year... so who knows. One thing is for sure... I think I can finally watch them this year without being bored. -
Why are you trolling? Gustad was nursing a wrist at the time... so that wasn't going to happen and the Sabres didn't have anyone else, hence why they got John Scott the next year. Everyone here knew there wasn't much the Sabres could do which is why Lucic was able to get away with it. Again, why are you trolling? And your take on Connolly couldn't be more wrong... when he was healthy, he showed up. Problem was he was a tin man, but no one could have foreseen that issue, even Tim. Guy had all world hands and ability to make his team better when healthy he was unbelievable in big games too. But revisionist history aside, Sabres were looking for a top flight center... Peca while gritty, wasn't the same guy even on the Islanders either and though I loved him... Again, Connolly's talent at the time when healthy made the team a lot better.

You underestimate Larrson and his contributions.. He can skate, is a pest and I don't think you have seen his best yet... still coming back from injury and getting into the flow. Before he got hurt, he was on a role with the Foligno. An interesting line would be Larrson, with Nolan and Sam. Larry has some scoring touch and is a good passer with nice sandpaper to him. I want to see if that will work. PS, Don't see Larry getting cut. Could see a trade for a scorer, but would have to be at the trade deadline. As you said we shall see.

Interesting debate. My only correction to the above was that the Sabres were hit two fold by the loss of Briere. Drury was going regardless... the screw up was losing Briere and Connolly concussions... without drafting a center worth anything, who could carry the puck. Vanek in hind sight should have been let go to Edmonton... but the Sabres as a result would have immediately been put into the the tank mode with the losses up the middle... talk about a perfect storm. 4 number 1s would have been nice... sigh it is was it is.

TY D4rk, that was fun, man that draft was fast. TY Dudacek for having us do that top 200 player exercise, got me up to speed for this draft!

https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-historical-stats-now-available/c-291389804?tid=282169076 For all you stat geeks, The NHL just finished a six year project putting all game historical data online and researcheable since its founding. Interesting stuff though not as inclusive as current tracking. still wow!

GDT: Buffalo at Pittsburgh, Sept. 27, 2017, 7pm, ON TELEVISION! MSG.
North Buffalo replied to Eleven's topic in The Aud Club
Thanks for the info, did the blue draft, watched the second period, refing was aweful, then passed out from working 17 hours straight and feeding and getting my kids ready to sleep. Not sure if my oldest actually went to sleep... lol PS Bogo looked so much better, don’t understand the Larry hate, Kane looks like he is struggling without Sam’s passing and yeh Jack needs to settle down. Sabres need another scorer with Jack... say Nylander hopefully or ERod when better... he knows Jack and that might work.
