Agreed big reason for the collapse in the second... Columbus knew this and purposely went after him shooting for rebounds and crashing the net... Its their game anyway so Chad played to their strenghths and Sabres D wasnt there enough to clear the net.

Thought Johnson had a game and for once I agree with Millbury, they lack enough talent... gonna be a long season. Still the base is there and they skated hard despite falling apart in the second. Johnson let way too many rebounds out there especially on the rush and Bob stoned them. Way too many pucks in his chest, that is where the talent or lack of it comes in... Missed the third, fell asleep but from what I can tell they didnt stop skating.

Lou Puller, a marine hit by a booby trap in Vietnam, son of Chesty Puller most decorated Marine in US History, a Pentagon lawyer and father. A good man... those who put themselves in harms way in service for one’s country should be recognized. That sport does it I am of two minds. I see dr4k’s point about it being exploitive, but also see value in the recognition of the self sacrifice. PS My Dad, LT EOD Navy frogman would never join one of these honorings... not the type. Though when we got him a T-Shirt from Bullshirts in Coronado Bay that had a silohet of a frogman with a m16 emblazoned with EOD and “Original Frogman” on it you could see the pride in his eyes. He is 83 and still alive, though would much rather be remembered for his teaching, professor of English at UB and his music jazz trombone and banjo than be genuflected before a sporting event. So as far as this discussion, I dont have strong feelings one way or another, but agree it has gotten a bit much lately.

Jack reminds of a higher version of my neice... Sheplays elite soccer 12 and under in northern Calif. She sits back all game trying to get her teamates involved... coaches yeling at her to take over. 2nd half she says ok and scores 6 goals... wish Jack would just do that...

Put Jack back at the point allowing him to rotate down... Put Risto, Sam and RoR and then maybe Molson or Kane. Kane will get back on D, should cut down on shorties. That is the way it was played last year.

Both I still question and agree with both of you. I didnt hate both the trades but how much we gave up for them..

Unlike Blysma teams or earlier in the season though they were not passive. I thought the defensive zone play was impressively active especially in front of the net.

Again a major Darcy miscalculation... Drury wanted to be in NYC... like Shattenkirk.. If somehow Darcy would have had his outta the ground Briere would have been resigned and maybe they could have made a run with Cody healthy... who knows.

A bit of both I think... TT is a quintessential underdog who does more with what he has than anyone has a right to expect, but his shortcomings are so painfully obvious that fans wish for more, but scared that they might end up with a Jay Cutler... who the heck knows but the guys plays his butt off.
