    I agree. I also think PLF's role was an undefined layer between the GM's side, which includes ALL hockey operations, and Pegula. TP, in his quest to get PLF on his staff any way he could was a bit hasty in creating an entirely new position without thinking about the hierarchy repercussions. PLF was walking minefields the whole time. I can see why he snapped. Perfectly understandable. As to Battista, I'm curious as to how people around here would see his "meddling" be manifested. What would have to occur before they were convinced Battista somehow "meddled?" GO SABRES!!!

    God, I hate that under 20 rule! Nice to know Grigorenko is tearing up the SAME league he's been tearing up for a few years now. Hope he can join the Amerks after his season and help in a playoff run THIS year. GO SABRES!!!

    I maintain there were a series of "flashpoints" since Patty came aboard leading to the crescendo we saw last week. Interesting that the majority have no problems thinking the non-hockey people inserted themselves and meddled in the hockey process and yet won't even entertain the thought that Patty may have inserted himself and meddled in non-hockey stuff as well. I think there's a good chance that PLF overstepped his bounds. Which can happen in a newly created role without clearly defined parameters. GO SABRES!!! I don't believe for a second that Terry Pegula didn't want PLF to join the long list of employees that stay with him forever. I think he genuinely regrets losing him. I also think he doesn't take too kindly to being told to phuck off either. It's a balancing act. GO SABRES!!!

    This is an important point. There is a difference, certainly. I'm guessing he's up for the task. Damn sure like to test the theory on some legitimate stars before I make up my mind for sure, though. GO SABRES!!!

    This should end the silly irrational debate about who "won" the trade, whatever that means. Kassian is nothing more than a goon with better hands than John Scott. Whip dee phuckin' dee. There is no comparison to be made about who's the better "hockey" player. Kassian will never threaten the level or cerebral hockey sense of Hodgson. That's where it all starts. Cody is light years ahead. GO SABRES!!!

    I disagree. A position created for PLF makes it sound like TP really valued his potential contributions to the organization and seeing as how Patty turned down the GM job and TP was determined to have him on board, it makes perfect sense. The very nature of PLF's stature in the game of hockey almost makes him a figurehead by default. GO SABRES!!! Patty is Mr. Wolf. GO SABRES!!!

    It was announced at PLF's introductory press conference that the position was created solely for PLF. TP appreciated Patty's honesty about his readiness for the GM position so TP created a new position for him. You do that for guys of PLF's stature after they spent time on your yacht talking about your team's direction. GO SABRES!!!
