I didn't call him a loonie, because I don't know if he is one of the extreme far right loonies or not. Just to be clear, there is no shortage of extreme far left loonies, either. Trump has to appeal to a certain faction and rhetoric about building walls, securing borders, and the imminent threat of immigrants has been fodder for the fearful for generations. Point is, there will never be a wall no matter what Trump says. It's a means as are all economic systems.

I envision some sort of celebrity VP apprentice competition. Trump has no intention of building a wall or anything else. Like all R candidates, he has to make the broad appeal to the base emotions of the loonies on the far right. If he wins the nomination, he will concuss himself from the severe whiplash of his violant spin back to the middle. Building a wall would stem the flow of cheap labor that a faction of his constituency has grown accustomed to over the years, afterall. They wouldn't like that.

Justin Bailey texted/called/recalled/homing pigeoned/DMd by the Sabres

Homing-pigeoned! That is funny. Maester Murray dispatched a raven to Rochester. -
This really does make the most sense. Take the generational talent and worry about fits later on. But Murray at least has to entertain a substantial offer, no? GO SABRES!!!

Who else does AZ package with OEL for Matthews? GO SABRES!!!

Justin Bailey texted/called/recalled/homing pigeoned/DMd by the Sabres

Glad Bailey is getting a shot, but for crissakes, Girgs just can't shake the injury bug this year. He's the perfect compliment to Eichel and whatever sniper they can find to add to that line. Damn. GO SABRES!!! -
At the risk of being a killjoy, I think this entire "competition" is extremely lame. Ridiculous really. GO SABRES!!!
-
I'm not worried in the least. Knowing he is done and accepting it has been a liberating experience. I realized my worry was really just an expectation that he would turn it around and now I realize how silly that was. Other than providing a place for Eichel to crash, he has zero to offer this team. GO SABRES!!!

Struck another nerve, I guess.

All hail the mighty corporations! All hail the job creators! Given our glamorization and hero worship of the money changers, is anyone really surprised? Money is horded for the simple reason that those that do so have no incentive to do otherwise.

The NY Times article I linked says you're wrong. And there are others alluding to the same thing. But that's beside the point, anyway. For whatever reason, you are intent on impugning the character of an 18 year old kid who, along with his entire family and coaches, made decisions they thought best. Manly. GO SABRES!!!

Oh, I hear that! And there is NO chance my signal gets misinterpreted, either. Just a totally phucked up way for an otherwise great hockey game to end. GO SABRES!!!

Except that he did accelerate his class load to meet the requirements if he chose to attend college instead. Looks like the kid was ensuring his options. So, what aspect of his character can we attack now? He didn't help his dad mow the lawn often enough? http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/27/sports/though-ice-is-in-short-supply-arizona-warms-up-to-hockey.html

You seem to be moving the goal posts here. First he was partying like a rock star. When that was refuted with knowledge that his mom and older sister are living with him in Switzerland, it's now a question of his "values". He was home-schooled, so you don't know if he satisfied his highschool requirements. There were also reports that he was taking extra classes to be eligible for one of the five colleges he had considered before deciding to turn pro. But still, so what if he decided that turning pro was his best option? You can't use that as a barometer of his character. It's asinine. Especially for someone who's "been around for a while." GO SABRES!!!

My use of the word applied to nobody in these parts. Only to those policy wonks, politicians, and lobbyists who think that financial interests outweigh all others. They are the arrogant ones.
-
It's possible, I suppose. But how often does the official scorer sitting rinkside get it wrong when the ref is giving him both a verbal call as well as the non-verbal referee's signal for that penalty? GO SABRES!!!

Just read on the Sabres site that Glorious Estephan will be out six weeks with an LBI. Too bad, the kid was lighting it up to the tune of 27/36/63 and a plus 26 in 51 games before getting hurt. GO SABRES!!!

Great, Frazier explains why a HOLDING penalty should have been called. Glad he cleared up the confusion over why hooking WAS called. GO SABRES!!!

We are on the same page. It is beyond arrogant to confine the meaning of interests to strictly financial.

Don't confuse referee obligation with fan bias. GO SABRES!!! I was relieved when McGinn wasn't aware a PS. Thought we had much better chance of scoring on the PP. Such is my confidence in our shootout skills. GO SABRES!!!

It all comes down to competing interests. There is no need to label anyone.

Interesting rhetoric indeed. While others are wrapped up in the distraction of semantics, let's get down to the crux of the issue: tax dollars. The government provides numerous socialist programs with our tax dollars and has since it first started collecting them. The money for other programs is already there. The issue is one of allocation and the debate it engenders. Here's my own contribution to the rhetoric wheel: those corporations that suck at the public tit are well entrenched on K street and resent the very thought of that public money going anywhere else and they have no compunction whatsoever when it comes to demonizing other social programs that threaten.

I think this is a fair observation given his level of anger immediately after the game was over. I think he was pissed off from the moment the ref called a penalty on Risto. GO SABRES!!!
