Same. I buzzed mine off a few months ago and was in the process of growing it back out and now it has reached the UGLY stage. Good thing I'm not here to impress anyone ?

Sabres “salary cap space is a mirage” per Yerdon in Athletic
darksabre replied to freester's topic in The Aud Club
This is basically what I've been saying for a while. The Sabres have a ton of cap but that's because they wont have enough players to even hold training camp. They have 8 players under contract for next year. They have to sign 7 RFAs and fill out the rest of the roster. That cap space is going to disappear fast. -
Did you see there's a new season coming soon that is set entirely in jail?
-
The more interesting part is that I read a thing about how players do everything they can to make that hand size number as big as possible for the combine. So if 8-7/8 is the best Fromm can do, I could probably get to at least 9.5 with some training.

Make a hand turkey and measure tip of pinky to tip of thumb. I'm 9" on the dot so I guess I still have a chance to throw that football over them mountains.

I think this fails to account for the differences between us and Sweden when it comes to healthcare, socioeconomics, workplace dynamics (sick days). I believe Sweden had far greater hospital bed capacity than we do here in the US, which allowed them to easily absorb the extra load from coronavirus cases. They also believe in actually taking care of yourself and others by doing things like taking sick time off from work. And they also take better care of the less fortunate in their populations instead of feeding them into the wood chipper. That all contributes to their better response. The threat of coronavirus in the US was always related to our garbage healthcare system's complete lack of capacity to handle anything beyond the normal (which you have admitted). Sweden was able to handle this situation because they were prepared to do so. The US could never have been adequately prepared because it is not designed to be.

It'll be interesting to see what he can do. I agree that he was probably failed by Georgia's coaching and lack of WR talent. The Bills have done a good job of getting as much as they can out of Allen, who is similar but different from Fromm: a flawed QB with some intangibles that make up the gap. If they're able to work with Fromm he could provide a nice 1-2 punch for the Bills.
-
I've been thinking more about the Fromm pick and I think this is going to be great for them. I can't believe he dropped to the 5th round. I don't think he's got an NFL arm yet, but his ball placement is excellent. His ability to put the ball in the hands of a receiver under heavy coverage reminds me of Brady at Michigan. If this translates to NFL speed things could get interesting around here.

I don't know if that changes things much except to make the number larger. What we're dealing with is in addition to, not in substitute of, "normal" flu deaths. If we want to extend this to the normal flu season then it's probably safe to assume the total will be double that of the normal flu. There's really no way to make the numbers for COVID look trivial.
-
Incredible stuff. An entire flu season's worth of deaths in about a month.

You're not the boss of me!

I don't know if rich people getting together to do rich people things is particularly groundbreaking.

Actually this is kinda the point I'm getting to. Being pro-Israel doesn't exclude you from being tolerant of a white nationalism in 2020, especially if you're massively wealthy. Again, I really don't want to get into this here, but let's just say that if you're a left leaning Jew who is critical of the Israeli government you may get called anti-Semitic by conservative Jews who tolerate white nationalism. Like I said, it's complicated. Judaism is not monolithic and can suffer the same corruptions as any other religious group... I would be wary of assuming anything about Bob Kraft...
-
I think Bob Kraft walks a fine line. One of the big issues of our time is Israel/Palestine, and the resultant growing divide in Judaism between the more liberal and conservative sections. I've been trying to learn as much as I can because I think it's part of the lense that is required to view current events. Without getting too controversial in here, I will say that things are... complicated. I don't know how much you know about BDS, Zionism, the politics of the Israeli State, reform vs Orthodox, etc., but in my opinion I don't know if I could call Bob Kraft left leaning.
-
Mmmm I don't know about that.

Why isn't this in the politics club?

Washed and waxed the car... Again. I think I want to buy an orbital buffer.

I'm glad they took Fromm. He should make a perfectly functional backup.

Per Dreger Sabres 2020 First Pick Maybe Available
darksabre replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Yup. You absolutely trade that pick for the right player. -
I think I'm coming around on the John Marston epilogue in RDR2. I think I've finished mourning Arthur lol

Bingo. I was one of those people who tried to defend the O'Reilly trade when it happened and, with the perspective of hindsight, it's simply impossible to do anymore. The only way someone could defend the O'Reilly trade is if they were shilling for the people who made the trade happen: the Pegulas. They wouldn't have been able to put a downpayment on their Superyacht if they'd had to pay O'Reilly's bonus.
-
lol no it's not

The thing is, if Botterill doesn't have a plan, then it's the Pegulas who signed off on that being fine.
