Definitely starting to feel a little depressed as this thing goes on. The uncertainty has me putting off doing/investing in a lot of the things I was hoping to do this spring/summer. I want to buy better speakers for my stereo system, I want to get a better mouthpiece for my saxophone, I wanted to buy darkroom supplies so I could develop some of the film I've been shooting (along with shooting more film). But these are all "unnecessary" expenses that I can't bring myself to make given the situation. But I can only read so much, and watch TV so much, and workout so much. There are other things I want to be doing but I feel like I can't pursue them and it's a real kick in the head.

I'm suddenly feeling old. This was one of the crowning internet things of the 05-06 Playoff Run. A Sabres meme before there were Sabres memes. https://candk.ytmnd.com/

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch

Yeah, this is the first one from a couple years ago. I'll probably give the second one a shot. I doubt it's any good, but I've been wrong before. -

I just kinda assumed it would suck because I assume every reboot of things from my childhood will suck, but it's actually pretty good. Jack Black does a great job as a teenage girl trapped in a man's body lol -

Put that Jumanji reboot from a couple years ago on in the background while I was reading, but actually it was pretty good? I'd watch it again. -

Weren't the playoff games on OLN anyway? I remember having to put the radio broadcast on over the TV. -
I hope this stops soon, my liver can't take it.

I spent the whole day in video chats. I ended up with another group of friends watching Indycar iRacing and... drinking lol

Yo Eleven wearing 12 straight killed me lol Swamp with an Eichel-esque botch. 4 as a goalie number. I think I like that.

A really close friend's aunt just died from it. She was 73, lived in Florida. I'm heartbroken for him.

The new Star Trek movies are great, beautiful. But none are better than Wrath of Khan. -
I'm only basing my take on anecdotes too, but I can say that a lot of my friends have voiced frustration with their parents/grandparents.

That sounds about right. The olds have not been taking this whole thing very seriously.

It sounds like you're getting a good buy there. I'm the absolute wrong person to talk you out of buying a bike ?

The liquor shelf right above the desk is a dangerous move ?

Actually, that's pretty cool

If anything they should be sending you guys the non-Covid patients. Weird strategy to be sure.

Do you like being occasionally scared by a bike? You should be able to get your kicks with that Aprilia. That's not going to be a bike for the faint of heart. If you like aggressively carving twisty backroads then it'll do that. The hard part with niche Italian bikes is always going to be parts. You should still be able to get parts for it, but I would talk to the seller to see how his knowledge base is with that kind of thing. If he doesn't know anything about where to get parts for it then I would be worried, since that's the kind of thing the owner of a bike like that should know.

Decided to pull my alto sax out of the case this week. Back when I was in middle school I got moved from Alto to Tenor, then Tenor to Baritone, and I basically never touched my alto again at any point when I was reasonably good at playing. I never owned those tenors or baris, they were loaners from the school. All I have left is the forgotten alto... It's been 15 years since I played saxophone regularly, and probably 20 years since I played Alto. I still have the muscle memory and my control over the reed is still good. But I probably need a mouthpiece better than the cheap student one that came with it. The horn itself is in great shape and I can play it just fine, but I'm struggling to really get the sound I want. I probably had some really nice loaner mouth pieces for those tenors and baris and had no idea how much they were helping me play ? I was not a serious musician, I was just talented enough to end up in places like jazz band without really trying.

That's because they're actually testing people. Look at the death rate as a result. They're putting on a clinic in identifying who has it.
