  1. IMHO the biggest opportunity for improvement given the modest changes and current lineup was hoping for the coaching area changes we have all witnessed that they regularly play poorly and struggle with. I have no confidence they will even match last years point total. Thanks for nothing GMKA, because that's all on a loser like you.
  2. The 23 or 28th would work for me, of course assuming no Buffalo Lake Erie effect snow storms.😉
  3. Just saw this, I am in the same position here as Derrico. I will make the drive if I can. Thank you for the offer again, Tom Webster
  4. My experience of that play is using Webers horseradish mustard not shaving cream. That's a wake-up real fast.
  5. This comment has me wondering for those of you who could watch more games than an out of towner. Did the team play better in front of Reimer vs Levi and Okko or was he really better? With this latest revelation it has really turned this team into a hockey soap opera. They have to make changes now right, I mean to run this back out without making some real changes is the definition of insanity.
  6. Tough question whether I am giving up on the team that I started following in 1973-74 playing pick up hockey with the kids of different ages from the neighborhood on the ice naturally formed in a low spot in the park across the street from where I grew up. We all knew about and some mimicked the French connection and players from those early teams and that's how I grew to know and love hockey. So give up on the team has to be a no for me unless I am willing to give up on my like of hockey as a sport. I did give up caring and closely following them with the current ownership, management and bull shaught version of my once favorite team and sport as currently ruined. American football has become my favorite sport with hockey fighting to stay second while this Pegula perversion continues on with no clear hope for it ending. Thanks for nothing and for your version of Heaven Terry.
  7. Bingo, this is where I am trying to follow the mess this has been over the last 14 years. It helped my hockey fix that I had the Penguins to follow as my 2nd favorite team but age, time and ownership changes here in Pittsburgh has finally caught up to the Pens as they miss the playoffs this year.
  8. Ground hog day waking up to "I got you babe" is my vote. I only wish we could get that ground hog to drive the bus with Kevin in it.....
  9. Yeah even a blind squirrel can find a nut but does he know what to do with it ?
  10. Hard not to think he would be as frustrated by the way this team has been run, constructed and deconstructed over his time here. Pegula what the HE double hockey sticks are you doing to your supposed beloved Sabres... get this team right or GTFO by now.
  11. Didn't attend Bisons games but started watching Sabre's from their first season forward. Followed and attended games regularly till I moved away in 92. Used to do half of 1 of a 4 way split on season tics after 75 with my brother in law in the reds which got me 5 games a season minimally and sometimes one or 2 more when one of the other parties couldn't make a game. We always let the group have first dibs on games one of the party couldn't make, loved how we did it, drew cards for picking order 1-4 and then went round robin picking single games with the group until all games where taken. I would always take a November game for one of the Canadian teams(Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, other), regularly went for the New Years pucks and Tux game, and one in Feb, March and finish in April to psych up for the playoffs. Was hard to follow from 92-2002 but i did the best I could long distance and always still came back to Buffalo for a game or two a season with family I still have there. Went to the last Rangers-Sabres game there on 2/22 with Brother, nephew and was pleasantly surprised with how well they played for one game but what a false hope and mirage that was and is for what this team is now. Hard to fathom what has happened with the last 14 years of hell vs heaven Pegula has given us fans. I guess I was spoiled having a well run hockey organization and team for that long. Terry please sell the team or finally hire and create an experienced functional organization structure before you totally destroy this once proud franchise.
  12. What team? They don't regularly play like the team I used to know and love, disappointment and disgust now replace that.
  13. Waiting for Samuelsson to come back from his?😉
  14. I voted No. In my best DarthEbriate imitation I will say " These are not the players for playoffs you are looking for!" Professional athletes to reach this level are supposed to want to and know how to compete. This has turned into the island of misfit players if they do not have enough pride in what they do to show up at a time like this. Sad with all the great draft positions over 13 plus years that the team, is this pile of dung. I have stopped caring since they don't either. Bu-bye Sabre slugs from hell.
  15. I cannot ever recall seeing him, a 6"6" 220 lbs defensemen clear the crease. I see Sabre forwards always being knocked down in front of the opposing net/goalies, no penalty. That net front is one area the officials usually allow some leeway to clear the view and they do not provide any consistent support for their goalies there. Sad dysfunctional drafting from what was supposed to be one area of strength based on our drafts of defensemen. Defensemen that don't play defense and a host of forwards that can't play physical offense. Great recipe for amateur hockey but not professional.
  16. I absolutely hope you are right and agree with this. I would also add that those said players need a conditioning assignment to Rochester (sorry for that ruining your Amerks experience) or less ice time replaced with the players who are playing the right way even if the result may still be a loss. Reward more the efforts not just the potential results.
  17. That was a lot of nothing really when you digest it all and look at the yearly results. Deck chairs on the titanic as LTS said. All is well that ends well and this has not and appears headed that way again.
  18. The tale of whether the current streak continues, losers lament, or we start another winning streak, fans be cautious. Honestly, I just wish they would play consistent gritty tenacious hockey as defined by many posters in the other thread. Physical, relentless puck pursuit and finishing more of the body checks they have available but shy away from with the adolescent stick checking only attempts. Thats not the hockey I grew up with hockey. Better use of my time in a meetup at the gym with my daughter to start a box and burn class and will check the scores later to see which way this team played. Come to think of it, over half the team could use a fit for boxing regimen to make them more confident in the close quarter situations they regularly play in on the ice. But that's just my opinion man.
  19. From a 3-win series to another potential 3 loss one. Still going with the previous ground hog day season potential again, a tease like that Meatloaf High school cheerleader, get you to rounding 3rd base and get the "Stop right there!". Lets stop the losing right here as Lindy preaches, along with this Manic Weirdness.
  20. This above, and the Deluca .500 holds me back from voting yes. After being fooled in at least 8-9 of those 13 lost years says don't get fooled again. Maybe even eggsbenedict will come back if they make it.
  21. I'm sorry for the 13-years of not making it when they have had some good in season spurts of hockey has me waiting to the last day of this poll before I will vote. I need to see them continue to play solid hockey back home against the Wild and Canuck's.
  22. Well here we go for another chance at a 3-game win streak. No lineup changes is the Lindy Ruff coach I expected until someone else earns it or someone else doesn't play up to the standard, which is as it should be. LFG go Buffalo, keep the home fires burning and win the fans back.
  23. Another chance to see which team shows up tonight. If Lindy is back to being a coach that holds them accountable, I expect the same line up as the other night. When changes do happen, it needs to be because they were earned not just given. LFG Buffalo, beat the Rags because my insufferable brother-in-law is an in-your-face Rangers fan from Long Island.
  24. ding, ding, ding, winner, winner, chicken shaught dinner! I liked the article from Torts LGR4GM had a few posts above. His coaching style is what this group of youngins needed to figure out the wheat from the chaff. Lindy has sounds like too much of the friendly grandfather giving advice instead of when he was barking out orders and benching the ones not listening.
  25. If this team is going to sniff the playoffs, I expect to see a team that bounces back after the last loss and uses the home ice advantage for a win. LFG Buffalo, make it so!
