  1. I joke about the poop, but it's not really that bad. It doesn't really stink that bad until they're mostly on solid food, and there are far fewer blowouts by then. I'm not going to say it's all sunshine and kittens, but it has it's moments. If you're on the fence, though, think long and hard; it's the hardest thing you'll ever do. Speaking of moments:
  2. I did loseit for awhile too. The only issue was if I did manage to come in ahead for a particular day, I'd take it as license to have a beer to get up to the calorie cap.
  3. I think you started it. How many bowling ball shots did you have last night?
  4. I'll plug the "Alton Brown Diet" here, I lost 70-ish lbs on it a few years ago. I've been slipping back lately, however, mostly due to the holidays and stress of always behind on time. The cool concept is it isn't really about what you shouldn't eat, but a set of things you should eat and after that, you're not *that* hungry for the other stuff. Portion control helps a lot too. Also, being single made it a lot easier too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RC9YqExnCk
  5. At that age, you'd be surprised how often diapers aren't up to the task. Blowouts and Poopsplosions are common, and not awesome. What is awesome is the embarrassing your future teen daughter fodder you get out of it. RosePie will get to hear how I had to entirely change her clothes in the middle of King of Prussia Mall because she shat all over the place. I couldn't even get to a bathroom as I'd get it all over me or her stroller.
  6. I thought it was Rhinolainen.
  7. ProTip: if it happens again on a more permanent car, Tire Rack will sell you "shaved" tires. Measure the tread depth on the current tire and they'll cut one down to the same depth so all the tires have the same wear (and circumference). I think there's brief naughty and dangly bits in Life of Brian. When Brian opens the window and the crowd is outside, I think the chick jumps up al fresco. Probably with the express instructions that you should never drive more than 50 MPH and 150 miles on it (or something).
  8. It really is goals. GOALS. Here in the Sabre fandom %1ers, we seem evenly divided whether a closely played 2-1 game is some great hockey or a 5-4 shootout is great hockey. The casual fan doesn't see it that way, they want to see goals, fights, and hits. If fights and hits need to be toned down for the safety of the players, there better be goals to make it up. Right now, the casual fans aren't getting any of it.
  9. I'd be really worried about going into an Edmonspiral if the Sabres picked another talented center this year.
  10. I think it's more like 40% around there, but you're right. The negatives will say GMTM could have picked the next Getzlaf with that pick, but it's just as likely the pick turns out to be David Fischer. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Fischer_%28ice_hockey%29)
  11. It sounded fishy, but I haven't watched the show in any real way.
  12. All the Philly sports venues are in one place in South South Philly. There isn't much around them, other than a subway stop. There is an Xfinity something of other with a few restaurants and bars and a big projection screen in one of the parking lots. When I was there in 2006 (a few weeks after the Sabres got Hitchcock fired), they did it for the Flyers starting line-up, too.
  13. As much as I don't want to like Philly, it's kind of like a big Buffalo. Approachable, neighborhood based, and not extremely expensive by big-city standards.
  14. There is one guy on the Sabres that's a RW, Gionta (and a sizeable portion of the people here want him to retire). Only other forwards that shoot right are Eichel, Reinhart, and McCormick. Handedness isn't the end-all of being a forward, but he wouldn't be "another C" as long as he's fine with playing wing.
  15. Any recipe ideas you'd like to share? I have a jar of black-strap that I'm trying to figure out what to do with.
  16. I read that not that he likes the beef, but he IS the beef.
  17. The Amerks outdoor jerseys were pretty nice.. The Americans sweater is nice, but I love the Cleveland one other than the front numbers, those are the wrong look and color. I'm sensing they were an afterthought.
  18. Very interested. Is this one of the books based on what Larsson had when he died, or completely new material using the same characters? It's a good read, but there are some chapters in there that ramble. A lot.
  19. 7 > 10 > 8. My wife's system is running 10 (came with it) and while I don't use it a ton, I have no issues with it. I hated 8's wacky full-screenness and use 7 daily for work.
  20. Never heard of it, to be honest. Easter was always more the English side of the family though; I don't have a strong memory of doing anything particularly Polska for it.
  21. I assume that's why your father smelt of elderberries. Wait, was your mother a hampster? (I only skimmed the thread, I hope no one else made that joke already since it's GOLD!) It's a Christmas Eve tradion for the Polish side of my family, which does a short version of Wigilia. Mushroom soup, herring, roasted potatoes, pirogi. Sometimes there's sauerkraut thrown in there too.
  22. Would these work? http://zubaz.com/estore/zubaz/navy-blue-gold-zebra-pant
  23. Complete stop? Probably not. But if you make the penalty enough the leaks will slow down. If the penalty for leaking is "hey, don't do it again" there will be more leaks than summary dismissal and some misdemeanor charge (something that sounds like "mishandling official information").
  24. That's a good point, but realistically people wouldn't be working on this if the Shuttle was a more cost effective way to do it. :)
  25. Probably, but Kane's also 5 years older and wiser than when he started in WPG. He may have decided to play it straight here.
