I am all in on the Tank...The reason we have been tore down to a skeleton crew was so we could build with great young players. Im tired of hearing they are players and they play to win. If thats the case then do it when it counts, not when your in DEAD LAST in the entire league with 10 games to go. Give it rest you tried your best already when it mattered and you sucked.. Please for the sake of all us fans who have bore witness to your pathetic play for 2 years please continue for ten more games and stop acting like you care now....

So you think a last place finish the year before the Crosby draft and the number one pick netting them Fleury didnt help them get a better a chance at Crosby as far as chances to win the lottery? And if that wasnt any kind of proof they hadnt gutted theyre team to grab high draft picks is enough proof it was a tank job how bout the next year when theyre tanked team finished second to last and netted them Malkin..They had 3 drafts in a row where they drafted either first or second...Thank god Washington was even worse than them the year after Crosby or they wouldve had Fleury Crosby and Ovechkin...

A very good friend of mine is on the Sabres equipment staff, and as luck would have it he has always given me access to some great autograph sessions and some great gear along the way./ It was between games 2 and 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 99 and the Sabres were holding a practice session at the old pepsi center now the Northtown center I believe, well anyways my son was 8 yrs old at the time and his Favorite player was Hasek so I took him down to watch the Sabres practice and my friend after the practice called me and my son over and gave my lil boy a tour of the tiny locker room and brought him over to Hasek who then picked him up on and talked to him for over 15 minutes played a lil locker hockey and signed his goalie stick and gave it to him..That was my personal favorite story.. Hasek had so many great Saves, great games its hard to pick any one as my favorite, We all know them we replay them again in our head every time we see an opponent score against us and we all think in our minds damn Hasek would've stopped that, I will be there tonight with my 2 sons and my best friend and I will shed a tear of happiness knowing that I was able to see and witness one of the ALLTIME GREAT ATHLETES of OUR TIME play his sport...

I was able to watch both players play for the same amount of time..Gilbert was exciting flashy and the First pick ever by our beloved Sabres, however with that said he couldnt and never did control the outcome of so many games the way Hasek did on an almost a nightly basis. Not only was he a stonewall to shoot against he did so with flash and flair the way no other goalie has ever played before him or since he has retired. Yes he demanded a trade and even though I have some bad feelings towards that time I also in hindsight see his reasoning. IMO

It could rank right up there with the Herschel Walker trade for the Cowboys in 1989 I believe

I havent seen him play at all...But 3 weeks ago when i heard he was Claudes son and played just like his dad I was hoping we would draft him. It seems to me that Tim Murray loves his Canadien Hockey players...Big time playoff goal scorer and Ratt..what a combo...

I think the Sabres will show a marked improvement this upcoming season. Girgenson should be better just from being a year older and wiser, our goaltending should be the same, and I believe Myers will kill it this yr..I want another last place finish I just dont see it happening...
