  1. Well it's official. I move somewhere and they immediately win championships. It starts with college teams and then eventually moves on to the pros. I better get out of here before Carolina injures their way to another cup.
  2. I'm quickly hitting the point where I would like to see Columbus win the draft lottery. That team could become a juggernaut very quickly.
  3. I stop listening the second someone says you can't have something because of toxins.
  4. I randomly picked up seats right on Pesky's Pole when I was in college. Those were really cool seats... even if they were facing towards center field instead of home plate. And yes, I'm eagerly awaiting Inkman's comment about me sitting on Pesky's Pole.
  5. Well, Edmonton getting McDavid with that hail mary slot in the lottery would at least be slightly more palatable than Pittsburgh getting him.
  6. I bet that hit those seats severely hurt the wallet.
  7. How could he not be aware of it all? There have been two kids at most BU games this year with mocked up Sabre Eichel jerseys. It has been just about everywhere he has looked all season long.
  8. Do you use the same numbers every time? He just might take you up on your offer if each ticket is different.
  9. Your scenario assumes that we can magically go back in time and not know that they already lost the lottery last year.
  10. Boston started all their winning the year I moved there. If Duke wins tonight, I'm moving back to Buffalo.
  11. What are the chances of the Sabres losing the lottery two times in a row, assuming they finish dead last? 80%.
  12. You really need to drop that spelling. You make him sound like an irish lesbian... but then again, it is Boston so there may very well be a few of those running around.
  13. Another neighbor was walking around outside an didn't say anything. I get the feeling that there's something here that I wasn't in the loop on because I'm a renter. As the next door neighbor you'd think we'd be one of the first people who should know about something like this. We are going to be out of town for the next two days, so that adds a layer of discomfort to the whole situation.
  14. As of Tuesday the entire first floor of our new house is up. It's amazing how fast they put of the frame of a house. I'm guessing that by Saturday when we are out there next, they'll have part of the roof up. We are so close to signing away our bank account for the next 30 years.
  15. I saw the cop outside but don't know anything more at this point. All I do know is that I now can't show my face outside until these guys are gone.
  16. The house next door has been abandoned since we moved in back in August. I'm working from home today and as I walk out the front door I see that a group of two guys have smashed in the garage door and are clearing out the entire interior of the home. I have no idea if this is legit or not, but I doubt that's how they'd be getting into the house if this was completely on the up and up. The few other people in the neighborhood who are home don't seem to care though. Was I wrong to call the police on this one? Ultimately I don't really care if I'm pissing anyone off. We should be in our new house by the start of July.
  17. So any player who has underperformed this year bares no blame whatsoever? I can think of a thread on here that has been renamed about 85 times that should be deleted if that is indeed the case.
  18. Can't we blame both?
  19. Maybe it was someone else in disguise wearing Deveaux's jersey. The other thing I took away from that story is that somehow he was allowed to play in the game. What a joke.
  20. There damn well better be. I don't know how anyone could argue against that being a case of assault.
  21. As long as we don't turn to the fake stories about some random famous person dying. Those are where this day gets really ugly.
  22. I love when current BC students act like that chant is creative, like they just thought it up that day. Originality died a long time ago in the world of sports chants.
  23. Sorry, needed a break from the petty bickering in every thread. Anyway, those first two games have worked out well so far. The transformation that Eichel has brought to BU is nothing short of amazing. Evan Rodrigues, the second leading scorer in the nation had 60 points combined in the first three seasons of his career. This year he has 61 so far. That's what Eichel has done to this team. So if anyone wants to look down on him because he only picked up one point so far in the tourney, remember that he has brought so much more than just what you see on the score sheet. And speaking of Rodrigues, both of those goals against UMD were great, especially that game winner. That kid seemed so useless last year, so he's been a very pleasant surprise. One thing about him that absolutely blows my mind is that Hockey East somehow voted him as a second team all star. So he's the 2nd leading scorer in the nation, second only to his own teammate, he's a first team all american, but Hockey East somehow thought they had 3 forwards in the conference who had a better season than him. Figure that one out.
  24. Let's not spout off this information as if it is fact. Burning the first year of their contract has absolutely nothing to do with them being undrafted college free agents. They are in fact entry level contracts but their is a provision in the CBA where if the player plays less than 10 games, the team and the player can agree to not add that one extra year onto the contract. In this case, that is going to be a part of the negotiations when these players are shopping themselves to clubs. They won't sign any deal unless they get they burn that first year. After that, they're handled just like any other player on an ELC, they become restricted free agents once their first contract expires.
  25. If I ran the board, April Foods Day threads would be a bannable offense.
